Now while It's no secret that I'm not a fan of Floyd, I watch fights with a non biased eye and there is no way I saw Oscar winning. DLH was wild most of the fight throwing amateurish combos everytime he thought he had Floyd pinned. Floyd has to credit for his defence but it's not as difficult to defend against a guy who's throwing punches without any rythm.

People have to understand that Oscar had only 1 fight in the three years leading up to the fight with Floyd and that was a punching bag named Mayorga. That's doesn't help anyone. Oscar looked in great shape and didn't tire as badly as usual but he just flurried and Floyd would land his shots while he was resting.

Floyd knew what he was getting with Oscar and with the money that came with it, it was a no brainer fighting him, but it's like I said all along, that fight was extremely overhyped and Mayweather did not take the best fight out there.

Now I know everyone is going to argue that no one would bring in as much money as Oscar and that's true but we're trying to figure out who the best is and not who the richest is aren't we?. I mean, we are boxing fans right?

P.S.- Floyd still can't handle the tough questions. When Merchant asked him what happened to the massacre we were promised, Floyd said something like "I can't ever please you can I?"

It's pretty simple though, don't talk it if you can't walk it.
I agree with you friend...he said its gon be a massacre.....................
hahaha.. thats how rappers talk.. talk about shooting everybody in their music but yet the have all this bodyguards.. same with floyd.. saying that he would massacre oscar in the ring.. hahhahhahaha.. i didnt even see him throw more than 20 REAL PUNCHES
Careful with what you say bro, some Floyd lovers will say he threw 800 punches the full fight. They will also say he nearly KOed Oscar...

The last 2 sentences are lame. If you're a true boxing fan, you don't get tired of watching fights, especially Ali, Foreman, Leonard, Hagler or those with your favorite fighter. Win or Lose I never get bored of seeing Oscar fight, he's my favorite fighter. And how can you not see Ali's greatness or Leonard's over and over again.

Sounds to me like you just wanted Oscar to KO Floyd and are mad that he didn't.

see that's the problem, we think pbf can beat margarito anytime but pbf lets margarito bust his a** in media and yet does not fight him for "money sake"? that's where the disrespect comes. and until pbf cannot set aside his too much greed for money and just lay dust to the doubters he may never get the respect he always dreamed of.

beating out of their prime and rusty but great great names should be a very good trick for floyd to lure many fans and some hardcore fans in making them believe that he is indeed one of the greatest and deserve the highest praise he wants. But the trick doesn't always last forever and wouldn't stand through the test of time, sooner or later the ultimate question of doubts would eventually come back. and his greatness claim will be in peril of evaporating just like every other great wannabes have fallen.

bottom line is he should fight who the fans really wanted him to fight; he got too much money from oscar fight already right? now is the time to set aside greed for money and fight for the fans honor and respect. clean up all the good-great fighters within his reach; who knows he may have to start eliminating that pesky margarito first. Shut the doubters once and for all. up until then, i don't believe in his claim of greatness. he is great alright but not as great as he claim to be, that's too much for his current accomplishment right now, even manny pacquuiao has undoubtedly a better quality opponents and a better quality of wins than him. and what do floyd got? a so so performance and an over hype fight to stimulate fans in believing if he beats the out of prime and a rusty 3year inactive great boxer who's only tune up fight is a stiff club boxer who is also out of his prime. now he become one of the greatest all time as he claims to be now that explains the TOO MUCH CREDIT FOR FLOYD argument..

Yeah i do. Oscar ran from Margarito for the same reason. It's hard to run from Marg because of his wingspan. I know you don't want to hear about stamina but that's a major issue. Marg wouldn't have slowed down nearly as much as oscar did toward the end of the fight. And in my opinion, Margarito packs as big punch at 147 as oscar does at 154...maybe even more but i don't know for sure. Marg can be extremely unorthodox at times which confuses alot of fighters. Put that in with his power and his wingspan and you have a recipe for a pretty good fight. He needs to get past Williams though

Could you define what a "REAL" punch is?
