The Names when all they had were names when Mayweather fought them, Sharmba Mitchell, Arturo Gatti

Thing is, Mayweather sat on those names once he fought them, and went on to a couple of easy wins.

Now, people accuse Roy Jones Jr of doing this, and try to take away his p4p legitimacy. And I say, if you can do it to Roy Jones Jr, you should do it to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

You can't compare him until he fights what are considered the "lights" of his generation. The Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito's of the world. He never fought a "light" when they were shining as brightly as they would their entire career, which is something they accuse Roy Jones Jr of and they should accuse Floyd Mayweather Jr. with. All those fights stylistically Mayweather has the advantage.

But Floyd Mayweather is obsessed, that his legacy exists on a piece of paper and not in the minds of boxing fans.

In a history book it will Say "Floyd Mayweather, 4 time Champion in 4 weight divisions in under 10 years" But he will not exist that way in the minds of boxing fans.

It's truly difficult to compare Mayweather to boxing greats such as Ali, Ray Leonard, etc., but you have to consider all the boxers he has fought so far in our time. You can definitely argue the fact that the boxers he fought are either past or before their prime. But, this isn't the point: the point is take Mayweathers record and compare it to other fighters in the same time and you can definitely point out this man has fought some tough fighters and remained glorious.

Let's take Hatton, Margarito, or Cotto and look at their record. These guys haven't truly fought as many challenging boxers as Mayweather did. Margarito on the other hand lost over 4 fights according to boxingrec.com. If this is not an indication of Mayweathers superiority, then what is?

Believe it or not, it's only a matter of time before Mayweather get around to fighting Hatton, Margarito, or Cotto, and i can bet my money he will prevail.
