the one was classic...

they had a chemist in this fume mask and gloves and the whole fucking bit, like he's working with plutonium or something. It was acetone. Then the guy goes, "did you know that cigs contain acetone?" and the chemist just sat there like he was fucking stunned and waiting to drop dead right then and there.

Acetone is the least of the world's problems. I work with the shirt every day.. as a CHEMIST. It's fucking harmless. It's in nail polish remover for fuck sakes.

I like those commercials. I want to see the same type start being run about credit cards and the whole banking industry. White collar criminals dude. Tobacco industries do do some fucked up shit, like chewing tobbacco putting those crystals that cut your gums to absorb nicotene, that is fucked up. But smoking is a choice and most people who smoke, are happy because they smoke.

My dad smokes a few cigars everyday, he says he's fine if cigars take 5 years off his life, the stress they relieve would probably take more then that. I started smoking weed regulary but the shit does not work for me because I continue with the same diet and same workout but I get exhausted faster and have put on about 10 lbs in a fucking month

So starting tomorrow that's done and it will only be an occasional thing.

That's cute. I am sure that ingesting acetone is a little different than it being on your fingernails. Handling something and it being harmless is different than inhaling it. Chlorine and or bleach is harmless unless you start sniffing or drinking it.

Overall the commercials are humorous and real. I like the body bag one where they stand outside the building and lay down to show how many people die an hour from smoking. To me it is absolute insanity for the FDA to ban a product like ephedrine because one person died after overdosing and being dehydrated, but tobacco companies have the stiff requirement of putting a warning label on their product. Hundreds of thousands of people are dying yearly and as long as there a warning label it's ok and they are free to continue to add other chemicals to help make sure they have their customers devoted till death do they part.

And the banking and credit card industries are worse because they are also selling cancer. They do it intentionally and it is a well designed trap. Our corporately funded politicians allow these scam artists to trick and trap normal people by writing really long and EXTREMELY deceptively worded "agreements" loaded with legal language and tricky terms and conditions. It's like saying if you don't want to get robbed just stay home. They need to be treated just like criminals because they are, just smarter than the average inmate.

I don't think cigars are the same as cigarettes. Most will tell you that the big problem is in the filter. They put the chemicals in the filters, and supposedly the cancer rate was very low before there were filters.

I am sure everyone has heard the old smokers story about how their grandpa smoked camel non filters for 50 years and he didn't get cancer. It's because he smoked when it was just tobacco and it wasn't nearly as hazardous as it is now.

Lookout for the weed. It kills your desire to succeed, it makes you content to sit around and let life pass you by. It's not nearly physically damaging as mentally. You should kick it all together.

I haven't had any problems with that, I don't do it during the daytime and I get all my shit done and still have a lot of ambition. It's just that it's true that it makes you short winded. I am straining a lot on my first and second sets when it used to be my third and fourth sets that I would start going out. Worst of all, I did about 20 push ups and had to stop for a second when normally I can bang out 40 rapid fire. I am at a bit of an altitude though so I think that has worked against me aswell.

I don't buy the stuff about it making you not want to succeed or that it shortens your memory because other then forgetting what I did when I was high on rare occasions, it doesn't have any of the effects it shows in those dumbass above the influence commercials.

It's just the fitness thing, you can always tell who smokes and who doesn't when you go to the gym and I'm starting to feel like the ones who do even though I smoke like 4 times a week at the very most and haven't been going at it for long at all.

1 - the commercials are full of LIES and completley distorted facts

2 - ephedrine was a product designed to increase weight loss when u excercised, and it made it dangerous to excercise with it in your system

3 - if some kid decides to get himself a credit card and charge a bunch of shit on it thats his choice, just like smoking, only the dangers of smoking are CLEARLY outlined, and as you say they may not fully understand the debt they are getting into, but i still say thats thier own fault
