Gloating is ok for your favorite fighter, but if Pavlik loses to Taylor in his next bout someone will post something like this. I doubt Pavlik would beat Taylor like he did Miranda. 6-2 1/2 or not. Fighter like Pavlik come and go and fighters like Taylor tend to go in the history books.

After what I saw last night, I find this statement very hard to agree with.

One fight does not make a career. He still has to step up to a higher level with Taylor. Taylor is a higher level than Miranda. Taylor has not found anyone yet to hit clean with his right hand , and remember he has a good right hand. Pavlik might be the guy who gets hit with it. Taylor can punch.

IMHO, Taylor's stock is dropping faster than Bush's chances for re-election. Meanwhile, Pavlik has quietly amassed a tremendous W-L record, and probably quieted a lot of doubters that questioned his lack of good opposition. Don't be fooled by his quiet demeanor. Taylor has a LOT to be worried about.

all fighters talk but you cannot take away from the fact that Miranda tried and he took some good punches. So he talked. He is a guy who is used to winning and he thought he would win. And had he won it would have looked good that he talked and predicted the win. I always remember what Hearns said when he fought Virgil Hill. He said, Virgil Hill has been asking to fight me, but I don't think he is gonna like what he see" and he didn't . I think the same with Taylor and Pavlik, Pavlik is asking to fight Taylor but I don't think he knows how it will be. Taylor needs that one big fight to showcase him and Pavlik might give it to him. Miranda was a good win for Pavlik, but Taylor is a level higher. Big step up.













Yes Pavlik won but it was more of an accumulation of shots and fatigue then raw poewr and in case your still sitting there with lotion all over you looking at half naked pictures of Pavlik go review punch stats....

He has a great record. But do you see a Winky, Bernard Hopkins on that record? You think Pavlik could knock out Hopkins or outpoint him? Totally different story. I hate to be a guy who looks like he is raining negativity on a good win for Pavlik, but Pavlik will have his chance to shine and he is stepping up. Taylor is also 6-1 and not the shorter guys who Pavlik has fought. Taylor is a big middleweight.

Yo, I was at the fight sitting front row, I saw everything. Pantera drew first blood on Plavik but I notice that Pantera, just as Plavik, has weak legs. The power is just in the arms, that's all.

Plavik is a much better fighter than Pantera, who is physical better conditioned than Plavik, but I think that Plavik has to stay his size to continue to fight in his weight class, He could easily be a cruiserweight if he worked out any more, than he currently does. Plavik picked Pantera apart.

Neither fighter has any defense what so ever, which is a must against the likes of Cory Spinks and Jermaine Taylor.

I must say that everyone in Pantera's camp is just as over zealous as he is, to me the guy hasn't fought anyone and his thin frame will only allow him to fight, conditionally, at the weight he is at right now. He claims to be ready to fight anyone and would be willing to fight anyone up to crusier, if he does that I will be the first to accept that challenge because he is a weak loud mouth little B******. I could easily punch through his weak a** defense, and I must say his speed was not impressive at all to me. Plavik, consistantly bullied this guy, killing him in the corner.

I also must say, Pantera, could not hold up to Jermaine Taylor, he would go in round three because I noticed, Taylor likes to take at least two and half rounds to feel out his fighter before killing them. Cory spinks would knock out Pantera in the first round, because Spinks is much faster with the punch and is a very sly slick fighter. Pantera is not that smart, just a fighter thats all.

By the way the Taylor-Spinks fight wasn't a fight at all, it looked as though both guys were best friends and didn't want to fight really but Taylor was still quick the jab, playing his game of beating you by points.

Pantera's camp needs to get him with more fights with american fighters, that latin american bullcrap record is nothing to me, everyone knows american fighters are better fighters P4P, except for Lennox Lewis and other heavy weights, lol.

I must say this about the Pantera camp, they know how to party!!!! Partied with them all nite long the night before the fight, it must be noted Pantera was not there, which he should have been, I mean hey if you get beat like the way he did, you might as well have fun before taking your a** whoping, lol.

Also, Plavik needs to study the game a little more or his traniners need to teach him to go for the kill early, there were several instances in the third round where Plavik could have finished the fight quickly but it was like he wasn't sure that his fighter was finished, but it was clear, Pantera, was finished.

The fight should not have lasted til the sixth round, it should have been a 3 round tko by Plavik.

It was the best fight of the night to me by far.

Also big shouts out to the Pantera camp, they are coold people to kick it with it.

There are no comments because his camp was shocked as all out doors, they left as soon as the taylor- spinks fight was over.

I know because, again, I befriended the camp while they were in Memphis, I can give a hint and say they were talking with Lights Out Boxing, possibly a fight with that camp, not sure, but I did over hear freddie roach say he will fight any of his fighters except james toney right now.

I am not sure who Lights Out oxing has that can fight Miranda but it will be interesting to see what developes.

Im sure Miranda is feeling pretty bad about this but he will be back agian. I still think him and Pavlik are the two best middle wieght contenders. He should fight a top 20 guy next and then look to either Abraham or some one.

Even better he should challenge John Duddy. If he knocks out Duddy that will build his moral up and bring him back in the talking for a title shot. Im a Pavlik fan. Im a northeast Ohio boy. But I still have respect for the guy. Miranda is one tough mug.
