I agree, too raw at the minute, hugely talented as a puncher but too chinny to fight like he does at the minute, with some serious tweaking he could become something pretty special, but at the minute he's suffering Benn syndrome, without a good chin.

I don't think it's a question of chin in Miranda's corner...Pavlik punches like a gotdam mule kicks.

He's knocked out 28 of his 31 opponents & Miranda has proven to be durable enough by taking shots from Abraham, Green, & Gibbs just to mention a few. Pavlik must be credited for being able to blast him out. It's hard to imagine many others at 160lbs being able to handle those bombs.

Much respect to Pavlik.

Good points man, Pavlik's power is definitly very good, I just think 160 is a long way down for Miranda, I thought Miranda looked very dry on the way down and on the scales, I was careful not to mention this, I don't want anyone thinking its sour grapes but he looked very weight drained, the punches were effecting his equilibrium a lot rather than knocking him out, cos they weren't hard enough to knock him out, but making his legs jelly repeatedly, sometimes with glancing shots. I dunno. Its true there was nothing wrong with his beard when he faught Abe, but perhaps going to 168 could give Miranda the 'Cotto' effect. Perhaps he should move his head more .

I agree...something wasn't right about Miranda...but I just can't say with a clean conscience or even adsuredly that it wasn't Pavlik's hands that dried his ass up. I mean he REALLY busted Miranda up.

I do have to disagree...unfortunately...again...about his punches being glancing or that they weren't hard enough to knock him out. Miranda has a hellacious chin. Watch the match again & look at how fucked up Edison's face was. Pavlik was unloading on him with bricks in his gloves. Credit to Miranda for trying to keep getting up offa the mat...but Pavlik planted his ass there 3 times & it woulda been 4 had the ropes not held Miranda up.

He hits hard babe...extremely. Miranda counted bulbs two or three times off of hooks & not uppers from Pavlik. I'm tellin ya...he was gettin ripped.

I just, again, can't be sure about the weight issue as it just seemed like an excuse in the line of a debilitating loss. While I see what you are saying...& what Miranda is saying...but watch again & pay attention to the shots & how Miranda reacted to them. Abraham is also a bit of a cracker & he caught Miranda quite a few times that most Miranda fans refused to acknowledge...but never NEVER EVER was Miranda that hurt.
