Yeh he needs to step up his level of competiton big time tho. The guy he fought on saturday had been KO'd 6 times inside 2 rounds. Ok one was changed to a NC but still....
Everyone is slagging off Amir's opponents but he's fighting for the Commonwealth title in his next fight which is pretty good considering he doesn't have that many rounds under his belt.
Its important that both fighters get their level of opposition spot on. They both need sufficient tests at this level to enable them to improve. It's better to take a year or two longer to get to the world title than it is to fight for one too quickly.
They are both making mistakes but unless they are still making the same ones in 2 years time, they will both be world champions in the not too distant future.

He looks good to me speed power but he probabely needs 5 or 6 fights before he fights a world champ
I'd honestly say more. He lacks head movement and he seems to lack a bit of power the other night. I mean that guy had been stopped so many times early on. Maybe he wanted to get the rounds under his belt...altho one sided rounds like he was having don't do so much for you. I'd say in another 18 month he will be ready against a weaker champion.Originally Posted by TYSONBRUNO THE WARRIOR
