Default PBF vs Hearns at welterweight! Who would of won?

We all know Hearns had that massive right hand, it was like laser. If you got hit with it, you fuckin knew it. He also had great boxing ability, he just loved a war too much. He could outbox sugar ray leonard and thats not an easy thing to do. Now we have all seen floyd fight and dude the guy is better than....well i ever gave him credit for. I picked oscar to beat him, but he showed he is an all time great for sure and one of those slickest boxers ever. Could hearns manage to land that right hand and use his great boxing ability to do better than any other has done against floyd, or would floyd just do what he always does and win by using his speed and evasion? Whats your thoughts.

Hearns did have great boxing ability to go along with that devastating right. He also had such a long frame. But as you mentioned...he sometimes went to war instead of using his all around ability. Floyd is obviously very fast/slick and has great defense...but Hearns would be a handful for him.

As much as I like Hearns, I would have to pick PBF on points. Not sure how many rounds we are talking here. But even at 15 Rnds FLoyd would win.

I think Hearns would win because his jab was consistent and better than Oscars jab. I think if he stuck to the jab he could puff up Floyd a little by round 5 and knock him out in rounds 6-9.. Hearns did badly when he would abandon his skills. He really was the reason for his loses, not the guys who beat him. I guess most guys are to blame for their losses.

PBF counters the jab with the straight righthand.

I agree. Floyd is good but Ray Leonard had trouble finding Hearns and so did Benitez and even light heavy Hill later,, and look what Hearns did to Duran and Cuevas. Mayweather is not equipped for a guy who is 6-1 1/2 and 78 inch reach. And Hearns was fast.. I do not think Mayweather would fight him. I think Mayweather would beat alot of guys, Hearns is a little too big and fast.. Of the 3 guys Hearns/Duran/Leonard, Mayweather would beat one of them probably. Duran. With Ray I think Ray would match the speed and Ray had more power than Mayweather. Would be a grueling fight with Ray probably winning a decision..

it is hard....Hearns with his boxing ability/freakish power vs PBF's awesome boxing ability...because of the power i couldn't honestly say....if I had to though I would say PBF UD...
It feels good to be back home.

Hearns was much more accurate and dangerous with his punches than ANYONE PBF ever fought and considering that Zab caught him pretty good I think Hearns would bully him and knock him out.

But as always it depends on the size of the ring

Size of the ring does not matter,Floyd would back away, fight on the outside and that would be perfect for Hearns to land the looooooong jabs and that rocket of a right hand. Floyd does not have the power to keep Hearns off at all and that was HeArns only weakness,a slightly suspect chin. He could box,he could brawl and so what if he went to war with Floyd,I really don't see Floyd hurting him or stopping him coming forward. Hearns would be too big,too strong and would bully Floyd and beat him. In fact, the Hitman would KTFO all these current WW!!
