Gatti can't beat the big boys. He looked terrible in his defeats to de lahoya and mayweather. He will never get another title unless some journeyman happens to have a title. Gatti can't beat the elite.

agreed...I think his body has hit the "Wall" and that is all she wrote for him when it comes to fighting top ranked fighters.....I think he needs to step out and retire...but He is like a philly fighter...serious/permanent damage needs to be given to him before he quits...maybe....
It feels good to be back home.

Who else is up for drugging Jermain Taylor and having Gatti fight him.

Maybe the worst thing that could happen would be for Gatti and Morales to win their fights this summer... because then both of them will think they still have it, and they'll get in the ring with someone who could really hurt them badly.

Does that mean you'll be rooting against them in their next fights for their own good?

Gatti is finished, Gomez will knock him out around the 8th round and then go for a mega fight 4th showdown with Jesse Feliciano for the right to fight Grady Brewer in a winner takes all (well crappy Contender belt and a couple grand) final.

Gatti says he's not done yetRing warrior Arturo Gatti has played down talk that his next bout on July 14 will be his last.

Gatti appeared to be heading for retirement when he was beaten by Carlos Baldomir last July.

That painful defeat followed the hammering he took at the hands of 'Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather.

But the 35-year-old returns against former 'Contender' star Alfonso Gomez in Atlantic City in July, and says the fight probably won't be his ring swansong.

Despite the fact Gatti has been in enough wars to KO a queue of fighters, he says he's aiming for another world title.

He told the New York Post: "Every fight I'm fighting could be my last. But I want to show myself I have the ability to stick around and fight for a world title.

"I've been in wars. But I'm not one of those fighters that gets damaged like other fighters."

Gatti will have former foe Micky Ward in his corner for the Gomez fight as his new trainer. The pair's sensational trilogy of bruising wars have already gone down in boxing folklore.

Do you guys think he has what it takes still?

    No
