i don't think a fighter should be giving credit for stealing rounds. it's not illeagal but it's plain corny.

In terms of Whitaker-DLH, I think the big thing is that Oscar's idea of stealing rounds was to throw a 10 punch flurry where he missed every single punch.

But is surely worked for him.
