back.
Tyson did face good tall boxers like: Pinklon Thomas, Tony Tucker, Larry Holmes, Frank Bruno, Razor Ruddock, to name a few. These boxers have proven more than Mason.
Pinklon Thomas was just out of rehab Holmes was past it Tucker was quite good Bruno was too slow and robotic Razor Ruddock only threw left hook and he had lazy offense and not very good defense sorry not trying to put Tysons opponents down but im just giving you the facts.Originally Posted by Chino

Prime Lewis on a good night where he keeps his jab working and holds when necessary weathers Tyson's first four-five rounds. Tyson becomes frustrated, not knowing what to do with someone he can't knock out in four. Lewis clinics him for the remainder of the fight.
Lewis TKO 9-11 (more likely) or UD (less likely).
Similar to Lewis-Tua though Tyson would be more explosively dangerous early.
Tyson-Tua would have been an interesting fight, both prime ... I'd say Tyson wins that one but would have been good to watch.
There is still troubles he had some troubles with Mitch Green's height, and he was not even close to athlete Lennox is in terms of speed or power. Tillis also caught him with punches comming in, and he wasn't as fast as Lennox. Tyson was a great fighter, but Lewis used to be a lot faster than he was against Tua, and like I said He would tie Tyson up.Originally Posted by TYSONBRUNO

Lewis had a long reach but still had power up close too. Though if you just saw the way Tyson fought in his prime. He was a vicious killer. As if he was created 2 destroy, not born.
I'd give it to Tyson in 6 rounds. At his prime, he'd land one of those uppercuts on lewis' chin, or his hook on lewis' cheek and it would rock Lewis, no doubt about that.
In their actual fight, Tyson went in there to kill! His head got in before his fists. Lewis went in there to BOX!
Tyson wanted to hurt. Lewis wanted to win!
The better man won that day. Tyson needed to go in the way Cus D'Amato would have wanted him to, he didn't!
Just one other thing.
I support Tyson in every fight he ever had. I even started 'Tyson Crew', down here in Australia.
I had all faith in him when the fight was announced. I knew he could do it. Then he came out saying 'I'm going to eat this and kill that.'
I was saddened and really shocked. Sure he has said some crap in the past, but this was going to be his most important fight ever!
He should of changed his attitude...well he did...only after Lewis gave him a flogging.
His mind was not in the fight that day!
Suppose to be the best fight in history. Turned out to be another bout for Lewis...and the end of Tyson.
A very sad, disappointing day.

I agree and then even the trouble with Tucker and like you said he just about got the decision against Tillis Tyson said himself that the knockdown saved him Lewis would stop Tyson in the 10th.Originally Posted by Taeth
