Default De la hoya V Taylor?

With Taylor clearly hell bent on fighting Light middle-weights, anyone else hink this could be on the cards?

This would be a super pay day for taylor should he win, and a result for oscar..

Oscar is a "six weight" world champion, but when he took the hostley disputed win of sturm to take the middle weight WBO belt there was aready a true and undisputed champion in hopkins.. with alot of people (the ring mag) not even counting the wbo belt as a proper belt this could be a move for de la hoya...

im not 100% but in every weight oscar has been in he has been the undisputed champion at some point? or the recognised champion... except for middle when hopkins was...

Taylor clearly has no intention of cleaning up the middle weight and is only intereste din money, and one one bring in more money than the golden boy... defo one to watch out for imo

Hmm this is an interesting fight that i don't think anyone's thought of yet and for the reasons you've described i think its a possibility.

If DLH thought he could win Im sure it could likely happen.... But Oscar isn't a slick fighter, and he doesn't carry the weight very well at 160.. I couldn't see him beating Taylor, as unimpressive as Jermain has been recently.. Oscar has the kind of style he could actually look ok against.. Or at least like something resembling a world champion ..

will cc you coz u made some good points there about his style being one taylor could look good against - but i think with taylors lack of power and oscar being able to learn from guys like hopkins he might be able to do enough on the night to get under taylors skin and do enough.

I would favour Taylor to win, but i wudn't rule oscar out.

For me personally I don't think that Taylor merits this payday, I mean really fighting oscar at this point means you make enough money to retire. The match-up does seem interesting for the reasons you mentioned, but recently I haven't seen JT fight like he WANTS to get bigger fights, he hasn't earned it IMO.

Let Taylor fight Pavlik and IF JT wins CONVINCINGLY, then it may be worth while.

...i haven't heard anyone bring this matchup into question before...but i agree with some on here that taylor would have an easy time with ODH.

I don't see this fight happening. It's possible, but IMO, Taylor is too big. Oscar always has a chance, but 160 is a bit much for Oscar.

Plus, the monetary side. Oscar-Floyd 2 would outsell this fight, and a possible fight with Tito, would outsell this fight. With all that said, don't see why Oscar would fight Jermain.

this would be a good fight for the Golden Boy and mentioned this last week in a post

Delahoya has power and chin to go along with his skills, Taylor wont be a moving target and Delahoya wont have to be the aggressor.... The Taylor that fought Ouma and Spinks, would get soundly beat by Oscar no doubt
