You can't tell me with a straight face that Roy Jones is a Fundamentally sound fighter with exceptional BOXING skill.

Roy was EXTREMELY athletic, fast and strong, thats how he won fights he was always the superior human being in that ring...
He was very unorthdox fighter but he still had some very good skills he had goob jab when he used and amongst other things yes he didn't do what normal fighters do but that doesn't take away what a great fighter he was and Floyd Sr is talking out his a**.
He was talking about fundamental skill.... This Mysery jab Roy used once in a Blue Moon is hardly a measureing stick for fundamental skill, Roy was fast enough not to need a jab to set up his power punches and thats a well known fact..

Roy is proving how shoddy his fundamentals are at the moment, he got sparked by Johnson, looked like less than an amatuer against Tarver in the 3rd bout and he beat some guy in boise that no one ever heard of

No superior reflexes = less than ordinary for Jones

Take a fundamentally sound boxer with deteriorating reflexes and he can still be competitve since he has a great foundation of skill... Roy's reflexes slipped a tiny bit and it cost him his career as we know it

Roy was great but it wasnt because he was a skilled technictian... Thats the part I agree with Floyd sr
Your talking about a fight with Johnson when he was way past it in his prime he knew how to deal with pressure fighters check out my thread i done yesterday and again read my other comment what i said after and your get the picture of what im trying to say you don't have to be skilled technictian or ect to be exceptional which Roy Jones was hell Whitaker had good skills but he wasn't exactly like every other boxer infact i've never seen a boxer like Whitaker in my life does that make him any less exceptional ?? no it doesn't and the same goes for Roy Jones.
