Now in the Tyson: Lewis debate I can follow, understand and agree...

Here I cannot agree. What makes you think Kessler can beat Calzaghe? Was it the momentous victory over Beyer? The hype of ROYAL? Or the certainty of injured hands on the part of Calzaghe?

I dont even think this is a fight that will end up all that close....and i worry that this will again detract from people appreciating Calzaghe when its all done and dusted with...

I think Kessler wins either UD12 or SD12 don't think he will surprise us with a stoppage but last 4 fights Mundine good solid fighter UD12 Lucas TKO 10 another good fighter and good result for how Kessler broke him down Markus Beyer WBC champ KO3 nobody has done that to Beyer in that fashion then their was Andrade UD12 tough mexican great chin just kept coming forward he was WBC number 1 contender 24-0 and Kessler handled with a class display of boxing.Now Calzaghe's last 4 Ashira UD12 fair enough he damaged his hand but i don't think he would have stopped him Lacy UD12 good win but lets have it right Lacy was just their to be hit all night Bika UD12 not a bad fighter but a step backwards after Lacy Manfredo Jnr TKO3 really bad stoppage but a step even further back.As far as i can see the only fighter moving forward is Kessler the only winner i see is Kessler but if Calzaghe beats him in style not just scraping through i won't be a fan but i will respect him as a fighter.

Mundine was an extremely limited fighter when he fought Kessler and had even stopped by Ottke. Undoubtably he has improved since the Kessler fight. Lucas was a journeyman by the time he fought Kessler. Beyer was only ever a very limited paper champion and Andrade has nobody of real note on his record.

I dont see what you think Kessler has that Calzaghe cannot handle. Calzaghe always raises his game for big fights and I see this being no different. Kessler will never have had to deal with someone with as quick hands as Calzaghe. Always on the move always looking to bring the fight to him. Calzaghe's movement and output cannot be matched by Kessler. Kessler is not going to be able to control nor dictate the pace of the fight.

Kessler is the one who has question marks against him. His record is more padded than Calzaghe's by quite a leap. Kessler has a good jab, but I doubt he will be able to govern the ring with it against Calzaghe who will be constantly moving and coming in at angles and throwing from all over the place. Indeed as the fight progresses Kessler will need to show he can actually go 12 rounds and in that time actually win some rounds against someone who has no issues with throwing 1000 punches in a fight if need be.

You are right that Kessler will not win by Knock out, but I find it hard to imagine Kessler winning on the cards. Calzaghe will dominate Kessler. Kessler will have his moments and but far more of those moments will come from Calzaghe.

Lets get it all signed and officially declared because this fight needs to happen.....I cannot wait!!!!

I dont know. I live out in Korea and so its a bit far and is more than a weekend trip for me. I will come home for a few weeks at some point this year and maybe a few days extra to see the fight will be possible. Its a slim chance that I can go, but you have got me thinking!!

Kessler lost as many rounds in his career as Lacy did versus Richard Grant (the fighter Lacy had to go 8 rounds with and that Andrade beat in one).

If he loses for any reason other than his hands breaking, I will stand up and say he lost to the better man.

But you Kessler nobbaz have to admit that breaking your hands is a pretty genuine reason

...but if you are referring to 'slaps' you don't break that part of your knuckles by throwing punches with an open glove
