even now winky has not beaten an astablished middle weight... to those who thught he beat taylor (and i am one of them) it was damn close against a guy who was lazy and fought with little heart... prime hopkins and roy would of made easy work of winky...

I thik calzaghe would of pushed roy to his limits at SMW... if we are talking prime for prime when calzaghe was able to sparr and keep tuned up his speedpower, fittness foot work and raw skill wouldof been a huge test for roy... honestly, for those who write calzaghe off as a no chances, if that was the ase why would roy turn down over $5.5m? he knew calzaghe was a huge test

at LHW, ezzard chales would of been a huge test for him and i would have to sit on the fence for that..

IMO Billy Conn had what it took to beat him, no dobt in my mind. I think billy is a very very underrated fighter, a true great.
Jones is too good for Calzaghe and Calzaghe eats too many right hands and Jones has terrific right hand and great left hook too talented too quick too much power for Calzaghe.
Thats more of an ego trip than anything else... if he had fought jones he would of fought with a whole new respect knowing fullwelljones's speed and power...

you would of seen a calzaghe looking to use his skills to get the win, rather than the chin up-ego calzaghe who was fighting guys who wern't quite in his own league...

Look at the lazy fight (no im not saying lacy is anything compared to roy) but early on joe boxed, used his jab, got in and out, kept his chin down... didn't reallydo that other times plainly down to the fact he knew his chin was that good and knew he could take the punches and getthrough them
