People bring up Toney vs Peter. I think Toney's rolling of the shoulders and other defensive moves took some of the steam off Peter's punches. Had Peter landed square and flush, we may have seen a different ending. Also, Toney fought Peter at well over 200+ pounds himself, so all that extra fat.....er.... muscle undoubtedly helped him absorb Peter's punches as well. Finally, Peter was, and still is sort of a raw talent, who still needs to learn to make the most out of his punching power.
On the other hand......... Hearns was one of the most feared punchers in boxing history. The punches he landed on Hagler could've knocked out a small elephant, not to mention any fighter on the planet.
I voted for Hagler.
