Whats next for 205

Well I'm dissapointed in tonights fight but I'd had a bad feeling about it all along. Congrats to Quinton and I hope my boy Chuck can comeback. Anyway if Henderson does fight Jackson for the title where does that leave the rest of 205. I think Chuck gets a gimme fight in his next bout then Jason Lambert. If Tito wins his next match I see him getting a title shot but if its Rashad I see Dana pitting him and Chuck against each other for a title shot. Houston Alexander will now also play into the scene(Id put him in with Bonnar or Forrest for his next one) as well as the rumors of Shogun's UFC debut. Anybody else like to see Franklin win his belt back and come back to 205?

You're right mate. It was said with humour. That said i think Bisping might get a title shot after his next two fights providing he comes through them ok. Dana seems to be taking very good care of him.

I think the winner of ortiz -evans (i am picking evans) will get a shot at the title. Its tough where chuck is concerned because there isn't anyone really who can give him a test in the division as a proper elimination fight for another title shot. He'll probably get fed lambert then maybe get a rematch with Rampage. I think there are lots of options for the 205 pounders.
As you say Houston is now in the mix so there is plenty for Dana to think about. If Rashad comes through tito though i think he should definitely get a shot. Also Bonnar is just coming back from his suspension and is lined up to fight Mike Nickels in UFC 73 (should be an easy win for Bonnar). Maybe Bonnar could be Bispings next opponent?

As for Rich Franklin coming up. Possibly. I do however think Okami is going to beat Rich so maybe for rich the only way is up.

If Tito looks really good against Rashad I could see him getting a Title shot, and I see Rashad getting a shot regardless as long as he wins. Just for arguments sake lets say Rampage beats Henderson here is how I'd have the 205 shake out.

Not a chance of that happening, there in different classes. Mr Silva is still the top of the pack in my opinion as his last 2 losses 1 was through injury the other due to it being open weight.

Mr Silva got brutally KOed by Henderson who is a natural 185 fighter....Silva and Chuck would be a hell of a fight, but if Dan can put him away then Chuck can as well. And Shogun is the top 205 fighter hands down

I love the PRIDE buyout. UFC light heavyweight went from having just 2 legit fighters with 3 or 4 prospects to being one of the most exciting classes they offer.

I'm a huge Rampage fan and I'm glad to see that he'll have a chance to pay back W. Silva and Shogun for his knee-tastic losses if he can beat Dan Henderson. Holmes really needs to defend against them knees. If he can I think he'll prove to be too strong for Hollywood Dan and will use the cage to his advantage via ground and pound and maybe some slams.

The Silva/Liddell fight is damned exciting too. Its a superfight everyone's been wanting to see and now that they are coming off some hard losses the fans get what they want. They both sling leather in there so we all know it will be an awesome fight.

As for Tito and Evans, I think Tito has it in control. He beat Wandy, went toe to toe with Couture and has fought some top tier fighters, while Evans really has alot to prove. Not to say he won't win, but I think if he loses it will be easy to chalk it up to inexperience.

No, I meant what effect did that throat issue have on him getting beat? Did it take his stamina or what

it would have left him feel drained, i had it once a few years back and i felt like i was dying is near impossible to swallow
