Bushidokan, involves all of the striking basics and great self defense...The class also offers a lot of sparring with controlled contact, so you would have a lot of experience against all levels of competition including your instructor...They also incorporate time for hardening the knuckles and feet...Just a good all around art of the offensive...Its like a street fight turned into an art... As you get deeper into the program there will be katas and more complex routines to get to the next level...What i really enjoyed was seeing that you cannot progress past orange belt unless you are able to break a board with every single kick and punch that you have learned....and you have to be 16 or 18 to even qualify to earn a black belt...I can't stand 12 yr olds being a black belt..thats BS IMO.
