    PS
Jones himself said Eubank was the only fighter who would cause him real problems and the only fighter who could give him a challenge
Uhh no im not Eubank had close decisions against Ray Close and Sugar Boy Malinga Roy koed his a** in 6 Roy would easily beat Eubank end of Eubank even said he would lose so there you have it.
He lost both fights against Close and looked S***, and yeah Jones would beat that Eubank fairly easily (esp the one at King's Hall who could barely move). But Roy Jones wasn't a natural pressure fighter

Eubank's effort against Malinga was very, very low - Malinga caused him no problems. Infact he caused Jones more problems, Jones had to resort to feints
Jones koed his ass in 6 no problems at all Jones is gifted great talent possibly fastest hands ever p4p and has great power he is too good for Eubank im sorry.

I gotta admit that I am suprised at the chances people are giving Eubank. I agree that Chris was an unorthodox fighter who would've gave Roy problems but only for the first couple of rounds. After that I see Jones winning an easy decision(something like 9-3) or possibly getting Eubank out of there. A lot of people don't wanna admit it because he was a cocky mofo who got on my nerves at times but prime Roy was just too much God given talent. Reflexes, hand speed, etc........

Eubanks could dig deep as he did with Benn and Watson but Roy would not be there to be hit. He would beat Chris handily.

Nah, Roy wasnt defensively that good. Ever! His defence has always consisted of putting the earmuffs on and leaning on the ropes. Like he did with Bryant Brannon at super middle for the first round. That was in 96 and the first minute is an exact replica of how he now fights every fight. He has now slowed down so opponents dont fear him and just wail away hoping to Ko him. Nigel Ben wouldnt have relented, he was a much bigger puncher than Brannon and was much harder to catch because of his bobbing and weaving. It would have been a good fight.

He was fast and threw good combinations and that really was what his style was based on. He intimidated opponents who didnt really open up for fear of being caught.

Now, think about this. Which 2 super middleweights of the Ninties really didnt mind getting in hard fights and coming back from the bring to win spectacularly

You may say that Benn and Eubank never fought anyone as athletic as Jones but again, did Roy every fight anyone as aggressive and powerfull as Benn or as hard and determined as Eubank?

Roy's defense wasn't good? Watch all his fights from 89 to the John Ruiz fight and you tell me how many good, hard FLUSH shots he took to the chin.

Jones, like any great, only went to the ropes when he felt it was advantageous to him. He would often INVITE guys to come in and fire at him when he was on the ropes. And he would ALWAYS get the better of the exchanges with his lightning fast hands and power.

Yeah, I reckon his defence was shite to be honest. His offence was awesome though. His opponents were to busy thinking of that to just let their hands go. He used the ropes more and more as the years went by but the competition never really went up. Glen Kelly is a good example. He was a nothing really and Jones knocked him out, from the ropes. Even Woods, most of Jones fight was off the ropes. His hands still had the speed to get away with it. Its only when he juiced to get up to fight Ruiz and had to come back off, that Tarver pushed him to fight. Again off the ropes then when Tarver had absolutely no respect for him did he just walk right through him in the rematch
