Even though Rivera is past it...& he is...past it...he's not too far gone.
This would be easily equatable to the likes of Taylor vs Joppy...but Berto's got enough test-ockles to cut the ring down if Rivera runs.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
How good is this Rivera guy i have never actually seen him so if anyone can comment on him thanks.
Rivera is good...but only on a second or third tier level.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
Judah stopped him in three rounds...prior to the stoppage he was pretty much outclassed...so maybe you can gauge him on how you view Judah.

Well thanks for info cc by the way you have described it looks like it will be pretty good test for Berto but not quite the acid test yet.Originally Posted by wacko3205
Judah was awesome on "that night" from what i hear because Rivera said he'd spank him and send him to his daddyOriginally Posted by wacko3205

Judah made him look like nothing but he IS a gatekeeper for potential stars. And made it tough for everyone he's faced except Judah
Rivera aint bad and he crack a little too. Tough fight for Berto but I suspect he will win but not by KO. Maybe a close decision. But Rivera has upset guys before I give him a slight chance.

Berto fights a lot like Lacy IMO, maybe a bit more well rounded, I dunno.
Rivera did got the distance with Joel Julio recently so I imagine he can take a punch aside from the Judah loss, Judah blew him outta there I remember.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
deo a decent test for berto and could give us an insight into how good he's really going to be
dont Fuck with the chuck
It's definately his toughest fight to date. I really like what I've seen of Berto at the moment. He's got the tools to become great and can easily develop into the total package. Nice guy too, which at times is what boxing demands, a great good guy.
I have seen a few of Berto fights now and Im very inpressed. I wont miss this one. I hope he is as impressive in this fight as he has been so far in his others. I think he is much better than Lacy . He dosent throw looping shots like lacy and he uses his jab well. I dont remember ever seeing Rivera fight but if Juda KOed him I think Berto will too.
GO BERTO!!!![]()
Nice move up in class for Berto well done by his team
Cosmes a vet and has been in there one some of the top level fighters.
I still can't believe after Bertos fight with Bravo people on here wanted to see Berto vs. Cotto or Berto vs. Margarito.
I mean people think because Bertos looked good in those fights hes gonna do the same against those guys. The thing is Berto hasn't been hit with a World Class punch. It's nice when you go in the ring and your blasting people out and your not gettin hit but when the punches start coming back and you see your opponents taking your best and in your body you start feeling his punches boy does it change things.
But good luck to Berto and I've quickly become a fan I just won't overhype him like I did with Bojado.
Bojado was sparring with Delahoya so he must be on the comeback trail soon or something. I didn't like the kid that much, but had some skills. Jesse James Leija was too slick for him though, Leija beat a lot of top prospects, like Lazcano, cept he got robbed in that one.Originally Posted by CutMeMick

I hated Bojado after that Leija performance because he could have beat Leija, Jesse couldn't see his left hook at all and Bojado had the speed and ability to beat him but he looked disinterested to be there and didn't listen to a word buddy said. Why Bojado went to the ropes and let Leija get off without throwing a single punch in return and all he did was shake his head as a response I don't know. I guess he wasnt mentally ready. But how would he have faired against Gatti had he beat Leija?Originally Posted by Hulk
