You're right Lucky, i am a massive soccer fan. I even played semi pro for a while.
On Italy's performance, it's a bit of both.
The penalty they got against the Aussies was bogus but nevertheless imo they deserved to win
As always they start slow but grow into a tournament. It was not the stuff legends are made off but they beat all comers.(even with the refs help

Nicely said. Still as individuals, they took every chance they could get to milk the ref. Then again, C.Ronaldo does that almost every game too. Lol.

In modern day soccer the ref seems to be the weakest link.
How many times a goal or certain chance got flagged down by the linesman for a offside that wasn't
Time to take a page out of the book of other sports like ice hockey(goalline ref) football(play stopped, so does the time)

The Ashes series gave me some the greatest Sporting Memories of my life !

Remeber the 2nd test at Egbaston when we won by 2 runs after the great stand between Micheal Kasprovic and Breet Lee !

We were having a family get together at my Uncles and it got down to the last ball I'd walked out the kitchen were all my Uncles,Brothers and Cousins were watching it and had my head in my hands when a massive yelp went out !!

It was unbelivable ! Brilliant !

they are intense but never nasty although i didn'tlike Monty getting Racially abused in Perth !

The last series we had no chance losing Simon Jones , Harmison ,Vaughan , and Trescothick was just too much !

It will be much closer next time!

Dont know mate...can't stand cricket or rugby...just know that Aussies dont like the Poms in sport...and the Poms ain't liking the aussies...but I know first hand, most brits are good blokes...this I'll know for life.
