Default Is Ricky Hatton Ducking Miguel Cotto??

According to Bruce Trampler, Top Rank's longtime matchmaker, he is. Found this on hbo boxing.

"Judah would not have been Cotto's most dangerous foe to date had Trampler found a way to get Ricky Hatton into the ring. Trampler revealed for the first time that Top Rank had been trying to make a Hatton-Cotto fight happen at junior welterweight.

"For the last two years, Cotto has been willing to fight Floyd Mayweather and Ricky Hatton at what ever weight," Trampler said. "Get this straight: Cotto ducks nobody. Here's a scoop for you: there were numerous discussions with the Hatton people, but Ricky went up to 147 and then came back down. Miguel is staying at welterweight. But Hatton knows where to find Cotto when he wants to get it on. Floyd is the most skilled boxer in the world, an immensely talented athlete, but he won't beat Miguel Cotto.""

    Hmm.......... is he?

One thing I like about Cotto is that he just fights. He doesn't care who it is. I hate to see fighters like Mayweather that all they talk about is money, money, money. That just kills the sport. They duck the ones we want to see fight and they set themselves up for victories so then they can say "I'm the p4p greatest"

Mayweather knows that Hatton or Cotto or even Margarito would cause him alot of problems bacause they can hit and they come to fight. That is why he is trying to retire. He wanted to fight Oscar because of the Payday! That is all! He doesn't care about the sport. He doesn't care about what we want to see.

Hatton and Cotto has to happen someday. If it's at 140, I have to say Hatton could win the fight. But at 147.....That is another story!! Although we still haven't seen Hatton @ welter!

could be made at some point. Cotto is a smaller size Welterweight , Cotto would match well with Ricky , Hell of a match .

Him and every other sanctioning body says he is #1

Hang those Bastards at Ring magazine for rating Mayweather #1 PFP too

lads no matter how talented mr mayweather is. if theres any body who could beat him out there it has to be hatton or cotto. they have the pressure style hard body punching style to beat mayweather.people might think what the fuck is paddy448 on about.fair enough i can understand that. but i honestly believe that the only people too beat mayweather is hatton or cotto. its there styles. what do u lads think. would appreciate ur thoughts. peace.

Just see the Gatti fight.... Although Gatti may have been faded abit, it gave us a glimpse of how Mayweather deals with that kind of style Mayweathers speed and accuracey would exploit both of those fighters questionable defense...

Gatti has no chance in the ring against a Cotto or Hatton! No way! I agree w/ paddy448. I too think these 2 could give Mayweather alot of problems in the ring. Especially knowing that Mayweather's power isn't that great!

Mayweather has more than enough power at 140-147 to get both Cotto and Hatton's attention..... You dont think MAyweather has power. Ask Oscar who's knees buckled at least on 2 occasions...

Floyd is a stinging accurate counterpuncher, who would give both of those guys a pretty brutal boxing lesson

As much as i hate Gayweather he has the skills necessary to beat Cotto by a wide decision. i wont mention much about Hatton because Gayweather would totally out class him and Cotto without a doubt wuold Knock him out. Sorry boys i'm just going by what the 3 has looked like in their last couple of outings, which is only fair you can only judge fighters by what they have done recently and not a couple of years ago.

    Watch the following:
    Mayweather vs. Castillo II
    Mayweather vs. Gatti
    Mayweather vs. Chavez

The simple answer as to how Mayweather would beat both of them is the jab.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I have never been a real fan of hatton, liked him at first but the more he fought the elss i thought of him..

Now as ironic as this my sound, i have good enough reason to believe one of the mian reasons team hatton left warren because warren wanted to match him agasint guys hatton 'wasn't ready to fight' warren would of/would of made a mayweather fight happen but it was team hatton that bottled it... almost every fight hatton has had has been carefully handpicked and all futre fights will be also...

I'm sure every hatton fan boy wil be scrambling to the sad click for me... but you watch, hatton wont do fuck all with his career. he wont fight a p4p fighter, will never get in the ring with mayweather, cotto etc...

Preme how can you make a case like that after Hatton fought Kostya Tszyu? P4P one of the best around and all around bad ass mofo.

Unless Im mistaken he is also just about to fight the second best guy in his division.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
