i've tried to find middle ground where science and religion compliment each other in an explanation of how this mess got started. In that middle ground there is and isn't a god. Its not that black and white when you try to incorporate both and it makes sense.

Well there are things religion can't explain but there are also things science can't explain too.

My favorite part of the big bang theory is when they get to the point where there was equal amounts of matter and anti-matter in the universe and they throw in a "Then something happened" and then they continue with the mess. Mass doesn't just show up in a huge empty space. If you rewind the clock 40 billion years i doubt you're just gonna find peices of mass, they had to come from somewhere.

We will never know I suppose, but you never know. If God made the world who the fuck made the other few Billion planets? Space to me is fucking fascinating stuff.

Thats another thing that comes into play. You can't rule out a higher power but theres also somethings that suggest it wasn't exactly all knowing at that somethings indeed happened by mistake.

The theory of black Holes interests me.They tell me in every Galaxy theyve found one, Regeneration??

You have to have a black hole in every galaxy because thats what keeps it bunched together but seperate from all the others. Without any blackholes, every galaxy could be potentially intertwined with all the others and if you have all the mass in the universe centered around the same area it would be under extreme pressure.

This is my beef with the big bang theory: Every time theres a supernova, all the mass contained in the former star remain a part of that star and it either becomes a different type of star or a black hole. If all the mass in the universe was gathered in the same place at the same time, you couldn't possibly have several hundred galaxies cause by an explosion. That would be like you and a baseball being the only things in exsistance. Lets say you could survive the conditions, would you be able to throw the baseball with out any other matter to interact with? Could you even move under those circumstances? I doubt it.

I think black holes might actually be a 5th state of matter. So far theres solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. Plasma is basically a gas thats been charged up so much that its on the brink of being shear energy but it maintains a physical exsistance. A black hole is the exact physical opposite of that. Its extremely dense. Its so tightly packed in that light can't even reflect off of it. I don't think they've found the elemental composition of black holes yet but you'd have to assume that its made out of one of the 168 elements or its a third type of matter all together (the other two being "regular" and "anti"). The third type of matter is a bit far fetched but the 5th state of matter makes sense to me. You have plasma and when the energy drops/it cools down, you have a gas, then a liquid, then a solid. The only logical step in the progression is a super dense solid.

Gravity needs seperate bodies of mass to exist and so does capillary (you meant this right?) attraction. They are both natural phenomenon resulting from mass's existance so i'd have to say that both would come into play around the exact same time that mass formed.

IMO there's two things existing in the universe that both extremely hurt and help out the credibility of there being a great power behind this mess we live in:

Anti matter hurts the idea of there being a higher power because it wipes out regular matter and forms pure light energy so freak accident combinations of regular and antimatter could've easily lead to the universe in the state its in now once "something" gave matter the distinct advantage (atleast in this galaxy). Its completely possible that theres galaxies exsiting of only antimatter because we've successfully isolated anti-hydrogen and its mass and chemical properties were nearly identical to our regular hydrogen. They're looking for ways to fuse two anti-hydrogens to make an anti-helium atom to confirm that anti matter elements are just about identical to ours but regular fusion is 50 years away from perfection and its been stated that trying to make an anti-helium atom outside of fusion means would have a natural occurance of once in 15 billion consecutive years of reactions.

The fact that anti matter is composed of anti quarks actually supports the idea of there being a higher power. If anti matter was made of the same quarks that made regular mass than it would be a different story because then they could randomly form matter or anti matter depending on how they reacted. Obviously this was just a fail safe so that if an "accident" was made, there'd be something to forseeably wipe its existance off the face of the universe no questions asked. I'll say i believe in a higher power but that i can't accept the idea that 40 billion years ago it knew exactly how everything would un fold and that it in fact had many trials and errors. Intelligence only goes so far. Beings that would have higher intelligence than us would only be able to retain knowledge better, compute numbers faster, and have some different ideas from unique perspectives. They might be able to interact physically with some mass with their mind but all in all, our intelligence is about as high as it goes.

Joseph Campbell was a smart mofo (he died in the mid 1980's) but he wrote many books and had the "Power of Myth" series with Bill Moyers.

Here are a couple of clips of that....enjoy
