I don't think Soto will last 6 rounds with Manny.
WOAH!! Lets not hug on to Manny too much. He's a wonderful fighter, someone whom I've defended many many times BUT he is flawed and can be beaten. To describe Soto's chin as weak is very poor judgement. He took a haymaker which would have staggered ALOT of fighters and rather than hold on,fought back.He also showed his chin in the Juarez match in which Rocky landed that super(and his ONLY good punch ) left hook and Soto took it. He has decent lateral movement and his defence was good apart from those 2 moments.

I'd favour Manny but I think Soto has the tools to beat him,it's his lapses in concentration which would be his problem.
Are you actually comparing Pac/Juarez power punching?

Juarez can't even carry MAB's spit bucket.

I like Soto. He's very humble and he reminds me of young Erik Morales. And we all know that EM beat Pac.

But Soto haven't been in real war yet. Pac is a pressure fighter and Soto will just be overwhelm.

You need to be reminded that both Medgoen Singsurat & Rustico Torrecampo KTFO of your PACDEAR. YES I am comparing Juarez power not velocity to Pac. Also MAB barely escaped Juarez twice. Ans not being in a war does not mean the inability to excel in one. The funniest thing are the references to Soto being humble as if he would be lesser if he were saying he would KNTFO Pac. Pac man is also humble and I like him for that. It is his followers that lack personal success, class and in some instances common sense. That is why they post as if you were talking about their mama.
Whilst your repsonse is very powerfully if not harshly worded,I think I agree, Addicted to Boxing. Hey,we ALL nuthug at one point or another because we all have our fave fighters but Pac nut huggers, dang! It's on an entirely different scale.

I REALLY like Manny,he earned my respect by beating Morales(one of my fave fighters) his fights with JMM and MAB were excellent too. But when it comes to the point where one cannot even contructively criticise a fighter for fear of offending fans, that is abso fwocking lutely ridiculous.

Juarez left hook IS comparable to Manny's left hand in terms of power. (Thats all, other than that,Rocky is a woeful fighter ). Like I said,Manny would be HOT favourite to win but I'd MOST DEFINITELY be cheering for Soto. And as AtD stated,Manny has been knocked out by lesser fighters and was rocked by Larios who moved up two weights.

BestP4P,I know what you are saying and I agree, boxing needs someone like Manny to keep the fans coming BUT it does not mean that he cannot be beaten etc.

And with regards to the JMM fight, the judge may have scored the first round wrongly but in most who saw the fights eyes, JMM won. Manny won the first and second easily and may be one or 2 other rounds. JMM boxed his ears off and rocked hi to his boots at least 2 times.

PAC FAN MY BROTHER,IF YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
El Gamo my friend, quoting you:

"BUT it does not mean that he cannot be beaten etc."

I think nowadays most of Pac's fans believe /or realize that PAC is beatable he has limitations and lot's of it. So I don't understand why there is still alot of people wishing PAC the worst so the Pacfans of the world be humbled.
El Gamo what if PAC beats Valero, Guzman and Soto and none of us the Pacfans gloats are you going to be cheering for PAC then?

those would be more so the reasons why pac would lose a fight right now in his prime im talking.

if someone just came in there and just mopped PAC MAN and KTFO i would be hella suprised and give that man his props given all the conditions that pac man actually trained hard, wore reyes gloves, and was not distracted with dumb shiiiiit like being a politician etc
Those are just excuses,Morales beat his a** first time around.End of. I could just say he fought a faded, weight drained Morales in the second fight A

nd anyone who knows boxing knows just because you score 3 knockdowns in the first round of a fight does not mean you win, especially if you get ouboxed in nearly every other round. Do the math. Oh yea,you forgot to add the socks for the JMM fight.
I've never seen such a big deal made about gloves before,I ain't ever heard Morales etc etc complain about gloves before.

I agree the 75-25 is an insult to Manny though,he should definitely get more than JMM.
el gamo if the judge scored the 1st round properly which would of been 10-7 for pac man , then pac man won the fight on points son!

Yeah but that judge who scored the first wrong also gave rounds to Pacquiao where there was no way in hell he won. He won the first two rounds and then pretty much got shut out.

And Pacquiao can be beaten in the ring, not just because of his gloves or distractions. He's an open fighter who takes some to give some. Obviously he's not invincible like Pac fans tend to believe he is. And personally I believe that at this stage, Guzman and Marquez would both take Pacquiao. Both are style nightmares for Pac.

10-7 is an option by the judge and is not a given in that it may make a fight all but impossible for an opponent to overcome. So enough with the could have should have. JMM excuses are that he should have ducked 3 punches and Pac should have got out a pencil and paper and took note of how he was getting schooled. Had it been reverse I can see all the post of how Pac man made the worlds greatest improbable comeback. Somepeople ...............

Oh that memory lane again. "I have to base my aguements now on Pac's defeat to win the debate". LOL!

FYI, Pac's defeats was from 1995-96 when could no longer make 106 and 112 as young skinny teen-ager. He got KOed both from body shots.

You didn't have to throw the "mama" joke as personal insult.

To further solidify my post in lacking common sense look at your reference to: "win the debate" I was unaware that this was a win, win win post situation. I was under the belief that this was just a room for expression of personal belief in the field of boxing.

Why are Pacmans excuse more valid than those of MAB in his loss to Pac Man? A plate in head revealed to sanctioning committee and in the press, camp interrupted due to severe brush fires, last minute managerial changes.. Seems these are much more valid than not being able to woof down a steak as a teenager and absorb body shots. Now he has money and still has a problem with body shots.

Pac destroyed MAB convincingly in front of his crowd fyi. I thought MAB had superb team and always have plan B for everything.

And money has something to do with body shots now? I don't think the more money you have, the lesser body hit you will receive. Money has nothing to do with it my brother.

Did somebody KOed Pac by body shot in his prime lately? Really?... who knocked him out?

Oops! I must have missed that one.

The fact that you do not live in Los Angeles only shows that you are unaware of the caos during MAB camp prior to the Pac fight. He had just left his promoter to join GBP in anger he disclosed to the public and press that MAB had a metal plate in his head in hopes that it would cancel the fight. In addition there were severe brush fires that forced people indoors for close to a week due to ashes floating about in the air @ 200 mile radius and in the centered where MAB was training. I live 70 miles away and my cars were covered with residue. I addition the sanctioning body deeply investigated the claims leaving MAB in Limbo and in my estimation MAB under estimated his opponent. So unless you know all the variables stop claiming to have any boxing wit, saavy or anything else.

How about you Pac fans start offering valid excuses with facts rather than hot air. And Cotto and Pac man are not upholding boxing only chat rooms filled with Cotto Salamis and PAC Fans.

Both are style nightmares for Pac.
thats a good point he did give pac alot of the later rounds where jmm was schooling him, but he the judge admitted if he knew how to properly score the first round then PAC MAN would of won by decision that night. so basically it really does come down to the 1st round since that is a FACT and not an opinion that the judge admitted he made an error. its a FACT and not an opinion, its a FACT and not an opinion

Oh that memory lane again. "I have to base my aguements now on Pac's defeat to win the debate". LOL!

FYI, Pac's defeats was from 1995-96 when could no longer make 106 and 112 as young skinny teen-ager. He got KOed both from body shots.

You didn't have to throw the "mama" joke as personal insult.

    ...peace
    "
To further solidify my post in lacking common sense look at your reference to: "win the debate" I was unaware that this was a win, win win post situation. I was under the belief that this was just a room for expression of personal belief in the field of boxing.

FYI, Pac's defeats was from 1995-96 when could no longer make 106 and 112 as young skinny teen-ager. He got KOed both from body shots. - Sorry just not valid enough reasons.

FYI Soto does not have a weak chin
More proof of the fires disrupting MAB camp prior to PAC fight :http://www.talkingproud.us/Firefighter110203.html

How about you Pac fans start offering valid excuses with facts rather than hot air. And Cotto and Pac man are not upholding boxing only chat rooms filled with Cotto Salamis and PAC Fans.
    [/quote]

Once again you misinterpreted text. My reference to having money now meaning he no longer is a starving skinny teenager but a well muscled/sculptured boxer with meat on his bones but with the same dislike/disdain for body shots.

There you go we both agree on the fact the judge was incompetent. But the record remains intact and no amount of bitching is going to change that "FACT" . Pac Man is over it why not the Pac Fans ? No pay raise, the Peso devalued ?

exactly the judge F'd that draw decision over, yet people act like JMM won it hands down. despite schooling Pac man for the later rounds which he did, the best he could do was grab a DRAW and that was even ONLY DUE to the incompetant judge's admitted error. can you say ASTORIX next to the DRAW?

Well that year end of OCT/ Nov it was the San Fernando Valley under seige and I am in the South Bay (on the beach) and I could hardly breathe. I was lucky enough to have an Int'l business trip to get out of the ash.
