I had the fight 96-94 for Cherry.

I thought for the first few rounds that it was going to be a complete washout, but I thought Ferguson got it together and performed admirably.

Couple things though. He was real flatfooted on the outside and was lunging with punches, when he moved his feet more he was more successful. A lot of young fighters who employ that shoulder roll have that same problem. You have to move your feet and bend your knees, you can't just stay flatfooted.

Another thing, he would move outside then lunge in with that right. I would rather have him either keep the jab and stay outside or catch Cherry as he moved inside with the left hook. He had his best round in the 4th and that is what he was doing.

Still, despite all the things I thought he could have done better, he did good. A lot of heart in that guy and I think the commentators sold him short. Cherry did a good job of stealing rounds late, but I thought in the later rounds up until 9 and 10 when he was for the most part gassed, Ferguson was effective.

Very good fight as is the norm from Cherry. Also want to see more from Ferguson, no reason for his head to hang as he is only 21.

I wish more fighters would have high socks, the red get up is sick. Cherry and Lacy never disappoint with their fight attire.
