I forgot about McGirt being in demand. Wasn't that due to Tarver?? I always respect guys like Hagler who kept his trainers the Petronellis his whole career. I always feel sorry for a trainer who was with a guy since he was a kid, and the guy gets to be a big time boxer and he fires the trainer.
Hes a great trainer but after he tried to have Gatti outbox Mayweather he lost a little credibility imo, but hes still a great trainer no doubt.
Yep but c'mon if Gatti had a gun he still would have lost that fight. I don't think Gatti even trains to win fights any more he just trains to take a beating and lose gallantly.
I was mad at McGirt because he took his punchers chance away from him. A slim chance but outboxing floyd was not possible. Gatti doesnt train to win or lose imo. He trains to fight.
