Whitaker is on the wrong end of a few decisions.

Ramirez, Chavez, De La Hoya...he won all of those imo. Of course, I am a bit biased as he is my favorite fighter of all time.

Sweet Pea is one of my fav's also . I honestly can't remember the rounds of those fights except for PW -vs. Chavez , I was at ringside , It was a complete travesty in boxing. Whitaker kicked his country ass from pillar to post ! Peat was a complete boxer, he would circle his opponent and get angles like a mofo !

It was all the proof needed to show how bad corruption plays a part of Boxing nowadays. It was a win given to DelaHoya to set up the money fight with Hopkins....Then he gets stopped!! What a dumbass!!

My second pick would have to be Hagler-Leonard II, Hagler won that fight hands down....Itr really disappointed me as a young boxer and a fan to hear him quit in the post fight interview....That was a great fighter that did not let the corruption get to where it was going to corrupt him....

Last but not least, I think Hearns-Leonard(The last fight between them)....Hearns knocks down leonard 4 or 5 times in the fight and the fight still ends up a draw.....Making Leonard the luckiest man in boxing history....I really hated him after that fight...

Dude there was never a hagler leaonard IIWTF??

You just trying to start some shit with that comment, arent you??

I laughed at how bad Jeff got his tail beat....

Before the fight ever happened, Jeff was beat on paper...PERIOD!!

When Jeff stepped into the auditorium that night, he was beat by the crowd in that hostile environment....

Then the 12 rounds of total ass whoopin he recieved was enough to cap it off...

Here is my thought on that fight...

When you are a fighter that is 25-0 going up against a guy that has a 41-0 record, take a closer look at that record and ask yourself if you are really ready to step into the ring with that....

Jeff needed like 10 more fights before he got in there with a madman like Calzaghe...

    Good Luck,

    Coach

    Here's a hometown decision most don't remember:
Francisco Lorenzo vs Juan Diaz. He should have been the first man to beat Diaz, but the judges robbed him. Lorenzo was also robbed against Courtney Burton, fortuneatly last time out judges did the right thing and gave him the win against Nate Campell though. I hope Lorenzo gets a title shot or big fight someday, sucker can throw 100 punches a round every round.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

    Fenech v Nelson 1...
Altho Nelson destroyed jeff in the second fight. No way the first was a draw fenech should have won by atleast 4 rounds.

I've always felt that Whitaker-Chavez and Lewis-Holyfield I were the two that really stand out from the last few decades.

Both were horrible decisions, and more importantly, both occurred in huge megafights that were really important to the sport. Lewis-Holyfield was for the undisputed heavyweight title, and Whitaker-Chavez was supposed to determine the undisputed #1 PFP fighter in the world.

I would say that Whitaker-Chavez should go down as being the worst of the two, because at least Lewis got the chance to fight a rematch and get his victory. Chavez wanted no part of a rematch.
