I think Hatton can still have great fights at 140lbs. Forget Ndou, Witter, Harris, Malignaggi. For me, there are two fights that I would be happy to see Ricky fight at 140lbs.

Firstly, as it was signed, up until an injury forced him to pull out, a match with Juan Lazcano would have been great. Ricky had it signed until Juan injured his hand, and Collazo was the best available opponent left to him. I can't help wondering what would have happened to Ricky's career had this fight gone through. Personally, I'd still like to see it happen.

Secondly, I'd be very happy if he fought Ricardo Torres in a unification bout. The guy gave Cotto fits and floored him. It'd be unification again, agisnt for me, the best of all the 4 alphabet champions.

I'd like to see both of them.

Lazcano is on the same level as Urango, I hope to God Hatton doesn't fight him. Ricardo Torres I actually expect to be Ricky's next opponent after Castillo. He's a one hit wonder, got lucky against an unprepared Cotto...late switch of opponents I seem to recall.

He showed his true level 'winning' his world title against another ultra ordinary fighter in Mike Arnoutis.

The only fights worth anything for Hatton are the ones you mentioned first, Vivian Harris, probably the most worthy opponent, Junior Witter for a big domestic clash and Paulie Malignaggi who is now probably the most well known of all the light welters Hatton and Castillo excluded of course.

As a Hatton fan there's only ever been 2 fights we want - and that hasn't changed - everything else is more or less meaningless - either Cotto or Mayweather... pls !!!

According to boxrec Torres is fighting Kendal Holt for the WBO title on the Morales-Diaz undercard (August 4th). The winner of that match would be a decent opponent for Hatton, if he does indeed choose to stay at 140.

(I do have some issues about calling it a unification bout, however, as Hatton will not hold a decent belt (except the Ring belt, but it doesn't really make sense to 'unify' the Ring belt and the WBO belt). The last thing boxing needs is another 'recognized' alphabet gang - 4 is more than enough!)

Holt will beat Torres in a snooze fest bore of a fight, staying on the outside and pot shotting Torres. Think Stevens vs Direll but without Direll's skil level.

Honestly the entire 140 lb division is a crock of shit imo. It's arguably the weakest division in boxing over 115 lbs.

I'd say Demetrius Hopkins has a good future in that division. I'd like to see him fight Paulie.

Aww man don't get me started on D Hop. Forbes owned him in last fight, complete robbery.

The Peterson brothers may make an impact in the near future, but the real hope is Amir Khan
