hatton is a great fighter that should be appreciated while he is still in his prime.. no one dominates EVERY SINGLE FIGHT AND LOOKS PERFECT AGAINST EVERY STYLE, mayweather had castillo, Mosley had Vargas, hatton is a true 140 fighter any higher than that he's simply out of his weight class (collazo is a nightmare opponent for hatton also) his style makes people look bad and was slick and big enough to absorb hattons' shots but I've watched the fight several times and hatton did when 7-5.. and the Castillo fight will mean something if he wins it.. he has countless of big wins against current and past 130 135 lb kings corrales, casamayor, mayweather and a hatton victory shouldn't be diminished because Castillo is getting older. hopkins did just fine in his 30's, when de la hoya fought hopkins, hopkins was probably as old as castillo is now..

i know that castillo has been in more wars than Hopkins though

I would love to see more Hatton fights....he's a good fighter and I think he should have a go at these guys:

Fighters Outside his weight class
Zab Judah at 147 - he's a good foil to Ricky's style and I think at 147 again Ricky could train in a better manner than before and wind up doing very well.

Manny Paquiao at 140 (stranger things have happened) - The guy is another P4P top level guy...it would be the big money match up everyone would LOVE to watch

Juan Diaz at 140 - Diaz is a big boy for 135 and I think their styles would make for a GREAT fight

Arturo Gatti at 147 - I have just ALWAYS wanted these guys to fight it would be an EPIC BATTLE

Miguel Cotto at 147 I GUESS - I can't leave this off because everyone wants to see it.....the sadistic bastards that they are.....Miguel right now is waaaay too big and too strong for Ricky right now I wouldn't want Ricky to be hurt like other Cotto victims

Paulie Malinaggi - A unification bout AND a bout vs a guy like Collazo who is slick and can take punishment...it would be closer than one might expect .......or we could just see Paulie get his ass whipped again

Junior Witter - The Battle of Britain! What more can be said this is like Bruno-Lewis it'll be "FIGHT FOR YOUR COUNTRY'S LOVE!" fans will go crazy for it and it'll pack the house too

Demitrius Hopkins - He's the closest thing to Bernard that Ricky will have the chance to fight....he's young and he has some talent.

Vivian Harris - RIPE FOR THE PICKING.....want to see a VICIOUS KO....then put Vicious in with Ricky and he'll get BLASTED on one of his rest rounds

i think if cotto and hatton was the same weight naturally (140) i think hatton could knock him out.. i think cotto has a slightly below avg. chin for an elite fighter and hatton has a good chin.. but with the weight difference cotto could probably absorb the punches and IMO they are basically the same fighter and cotto's power and body work would simply wear hatton down and cotto would probably win in a late stoppage or a close decision

I agree with all those you put on the list except Pacquiao, because he doesn't have the body to jump to 140 and IMO I don't see Hatton making the lightweight limit. But everyone on that list is a good fight for Hatton right now.
