Deuce you have a point, what they are doing is Technique pads but not very good. What PBF does on the pads is Neuromuscular adaptions a form of variation plyometrics speed work. Both have there place, I prefer the technique type there are other ways to accomplish speed. You are right its to show of its just as hard for the coach as the fighter, but it looks the part.

Whats happenningin that pad session I beleive is a press call. So schimty at65 got to be took him on the pads. Now have you ever taken a heavy like Vitali on the pads and hes 6 stone heavier than you if he was punching through, take the thing in contects.

you know I always liked Vit and was dissapointed he never got a rematch with Lennox, but I really dont like having both the Klits back in the Div. I mean if they both continue to win then all we have is two great fighters that will never meet.

Atleast you'll know that there's one legit fighter who beats everything in his path and its not like wlads in a hurry to unify anytime soon. After Vitali wins a belt i'd love him to get a rematch with chris byrd.

I hate open workouts. They have no point and mean nothing. Of course you are going to train different in front of the cameras but these guys play it off like there arent reporters and cameras in the room. Just anther form of showboating to me.
