Just like I predicted, Jhonny Gonzalez beat up and retired Irene Pacheco.

The only 2 things Mr. Fraud himself Joe Calzaghe gained by beating Peter Manfredo was a broken hand and another excuse to avoid Mikkel Kessler. On the bright side, it is always fun to see Manfredo get his a** beat.

Even bigger Fraud, Nikolay Valuev gets his 0 token away by a smaller average fighter. We will no longer have to tolerate any ridiculous talk of Valuev threatening Rocky Marciano's record of 49-0. And to think Wacko said he was improving.

If Manny Pacquiao fights Juan Manuel Marquez the way he fought Jorge Solis he's getting knocked out

Acelino Freitas proved to the world that yes he is indeed a coward by quitting again. Juan Diaz deserves credit for the win. But no matter how many belts he collects, Joel Casamayor is still the true Lightweight Champion. Diaz (Juan, Julio and David) want nothing of Casamayor.

Floyd Mayweather showed the world why is he's clearly the best fighter breathing. His defense was beyond outstanding. Oscar De La Hoya landed only 21% of his punches. No one has ever made De La Hoya miss as much as he did. Tom Kaczmarek should be shot for scoring it for Oscar.

Kelly Pavlik proved me wrong when he stopped Edison Miranda. He's not a fraud. But I still don't see him beating Jermain Taylor, who pretty much just went through the motions in beating Cory Spinks.

James Toney needs to retire.

Shanno Briggs is now considered an ex champion. Why was he even considered a champion in the first place? The WBO is a sad joke (see Joe Calzaghe, Artur Grigorian, Chris Eubank, Dariusz Michalczewski and Johnny Nelson great title regions). Sultan Ibragimov is nothing special.

The Miguel Cotto-Zab Judah fight was the one fight I hated to miss the most.. The outcome was the reason why. I taught Judah would be to fast for Cotto. So I gave him a great chance to beat Cotto. He was the faster fighter. But Cotto was the better fighter. Big props to Miguel. He continues to move on up, while Judah continues his descent.

Beating the 9 loss having Lovemore N'dou proves nothing. Paulie Malignaggi is still garbage.

In the 3 months I was locked up, nothing made me sadder than picking up the Daily News and reading the headline "Boxer Diego Corrales killed in motorcycle crash". It was a F****** shock. I didn't even believe it. I didn't want to believe it. I made collect calls to all 3 of my kids moms and had each one get online and confirm it. Sadly all 3 did. Rest In Peace Diego "Chico" Corrales. You were a F****** warrior.
A good appraisal. I too am glad that Valuev is out of the picture. He's big but doesnt know how to impose that size effectively.

As for Calzaghe, well its looking like a Kessler fight may very well be going ahead after all. And I cannot wait for that one!

I doubt Pac would fight Marquez like he fought Solis. Its a fight that goes either way IMO. Its a shame that isnt a fight that is looking likely anytime soon.

Mayweather showed that he is untouchable all the way up to 154 pounds. Oscar was punching air all night.

Toney. No comment.

Briggs. Oh dear

Pavlik did show out against Miranda and looked exceptional. Imo he gives Taylor a huge run for his money.

I too thought Zab would be too much for Cotto to handle but sat back and just enjoyed the fight for what it was. Cotto has come on leaps and bounds and won well. Impressive.
