DMD, you are wrong. You need to visualise a situation then when it happens your brain will react quickly. Did you know the people most likely to survive and escape train/plane wrecks (despite being lucky) are the ones who had thought about how they would escape if they crashed? That's a fact.
You've heard of muscle memory? well the same thing happens in the brain. An action and thought lays down neural pathways. It's how we learn.
