What's the confusing? It was done to give Castillo a distraction going into the fight. But in terms it's giving Castillo even more motivation. I do indeed feel sorry for Hatton

Although a Nevada Federal Judge granted an attachment in favor of Gary Shaw Productions and Diego Corrales’s Estate of up to $1,200,000 of any monies to be paid to Jose Luis Castillo, also required was that a bond of equal monies be collected from Gary Shaw Productions and Diego Corrales’s Estate. The bond was not received and as a result Castillo will be paid.

Sorry, when I looked at the thread I thought that maybe there was a website that would offer people the chance to help get Castillo fired up by poking him in the eye or summat.

Of course the timing is no coincindence, because, quite simply, Castillo as a boxer doesn't get a wage like 9 to 5 fighters, so if Gary Shaw is trying to recover money from Castillo, he pretty much knows when Castillo will have some money, and that's right after a fight like this.
