And it will probably never happen until they are both spent shadows of their former glory...just plain sad.
Until Tito ain't fought since he was comprehensively dismantled by Winky Wright over two years ago...and comebacks don't work half as well if the body doesn't have any more. As for ODLH, he looked alright against Mayweather, but himself is by no means at the peak of his power. If this fight was to pop up in the winter, you'd have to suggest it be a 'past it' fighter against a fading fighter.
What I ment to say is that this fight happend over 7 years ago (WOW just writing it and I din't realize it was that long ago) and it is a shame that the rematch never happend. It is a loss to all boxing fans that these two fighters didn't meet in the ring again to deliver the promised classic fight that they should've had but never provided. I can just see 1 or 2 years from now Golden Boy Promotions trying to make this happend to make another 20 mill for a meaningless fight after they are both WAY passed their prime. Tell me something... who even remembers Leonard - Hearns 2? It will be the same thing with these two if they meet again. And it is a shame.
