I'll tell you about what i do..
So say my company is the middle man..
A company..For existance.. NXO.. A strategic marketing company..Wants more customers..
So our company gets payed money, We go buy aload of names of companies and theyr addresses
I ring up first to screen the companies...
You ring up and find out who a certain person is.. In this instance..
The person in charge of marketing.., Theyr email adress and specific job title.. If you do it right and whatnot you can usually get this information without too many questions from a receptionist or operator..
You then send out a standard spam like email to them introducing this companys services..
Then you might ring them back a week later..now knowing the name of the person in charge of marketing and ask to speak with them, you say.. i sent you an email last week do you remember seeing that atall?
Is this of any interest to you? bla bla
And my main objective at the end of all that is to have them to agree to an appointment not with me or my company but the actual company that we are working on behalf of..
Something like..Ok so we can have fraser richie come and see you and tell you a little bit more about our service..bla bla..
thats my job over..
See i dont give a flying fwock about what they do or dont sell.. We just have to set up theyr oportunity
Which is why i hate it when someone picks up a phone you say a word to them and they say what you selling?..Im not selling shitttt!
