Who was better? Ali or Lewis?

Firstly, very surprised that people have said Lewis dominated a weak division??

IMO - Ali dominated the best ever era

- Lewis dominated the 2nd best ever era


In terms of greatness Ali win hands down - if they had actually fought it would've been very interesting, I don't think the size would be a massive factor, there is only a couple of inches height difference, I would guess their reach is about the same, and Lewis at 30 years old was only about 225lbs (obviously prime Lewis was a lot bigger)

Basically I'd go for Ali all day!!

always subjective when comparing eras and styles. all you can be judged buy is the mark you left in your era. alis obviously is second to none. whose to say that the tyson that beat spinks doesnt beat ali?

Why should boxing be different from other things in this world? Maybe Ali was better at his time among his rivals but if he fought a year 2000 fighter he would most likely lose to every top10 fighter.

I guess you could of said the same about George Foreman because he was from the 70's aswell, but he came back and won the heavyweight title in 1995 at 45 years old.
