This is the most envy filled thread i have ever come across on Saddos and some of you bemuse me
Don't recall many fighters who will bring 9000 fans half way across the globe consistently and create an atmosphere like we had last night.
80% of those brits are working class and that little weekend would have cost them a good months wages at least so being British they grab it with both hands and enjoy every minute,drink LOTS and be merry and more importantly BRING THE NOISE
It's almost as if some of you STILL can't get your head around the fact that we do have a genuine superstar fighter on our hands at present so you hate on his fans because on that peformance all anyone can possibly do is praise him.

The crowd cheering and singing is one thing.....A band goes too far....

Two things about that shot. First, it looked glancing. It looked glancing live, and it looked glancing on the 1000 replays or so I saw. Second, DLH's reaction was unlike any I've ever seen after a body shot. Hatton's shot to Castillo..... THAT was a body shot. And Castillo reacted how everybody that gets hit with a shot that hard reacts.

You get caught with a shot to the liver like you said YOU CAN DO NOTHING!!!!..........

If your body doesn't allow you to move you cant do a thing!!!!.....

I picked Castillo to win as a sentimental favorite even if I don't have much faith in it.....I have a habit of that.....I was hoping for one last good fight out of him....IMO if he was on for just one last night he and Ricky would have had a barn burner for sure.....

Hatton did a good job and he was all business....Ricky is ready for who ever is willing to fight next....

I still do not think DLH at 154 would be a good idea though

I still dont understand what you find so offensive about having people playing instruments for. Most sports arouse feelings and passions amongst their supporters and if it is a way for the paying supporter to have a good time then so be it. A band or a noisy continent of 8000 roaring Mancs. It surely makes no difference.

I pointed out golf being an exception and I think Lyle suggested tennis as another. But boxing has always been surrounded by enthusiastic crowds. A chant of a crowd is little different to the beat of a drum really.

Long may Hatton and his followers go out to the states and make their merry noise. Their support and passion is nothing but a good thing for boxing.

but IMO if you work as a mechanic (for example) and have saved for 4months just to be able to go even if your sitting on the back row with a shit view of two small ants in a ring that you vagually recognise as the two fighters you should be able to support your man in any legal way
note ... the band isnt illegal
so if it bugs you that much then pen to paper and get writing to whom ever it may concern

I really did not think it was that big of a deal myself...

I just expressed that the band during the fight was not needed and not something that should be encouraged du to the fact the next guy will want to take it further....We will have some one wanting his own personal rapper during the fight then we will have someone who will want a guy with a bullhorn screaming out his name during a fight to encouraghe the crowd.....Things get out of hand because the next guy is always trying to out do the other....

Then somewhere someone turned it into a personal insult against Hatton and it just escalated from there into an out of control debate.....
