IT is stupid to do anything all of the time .
I agree to have that in your mind as a 'major thing' to do ,would be stupid .
No idea or technique should ever be taken that way.
There is a time and a place for everything in a ring;
it s also stupid to only be able to think one way .
There are millions of boxers in the world and less than a small percentage of one per cent make it to the top.
There is a reason for that.
They are either the thinkers in the ring who can adapt on their own or the hard core soldiers who are guided along by strict corners who shape the fight around that fighters natural abilities and the others weaknesses.
Anyway the original post stated that if you are being 'outdistanced and controlled' by a strong jab that hangs in your face and follows you around, you COULD attack that jab underneath so it does damage and makes the opposition think twice about holding it in your face.
IF you really think that out,you have adjusted your distance slightly so you can attack an extended arm without being hit yourself. so you have killed two birds with one stone there.You have redistanced the fight so he cant reach and have made him react and rethink.
That sort of thing can change a fight back onto your terms.(if you use the time and follow up correctly).
Thinkers would take it one stage further and would know that they could use it as a controlling stage to be able to close back into their own distance and use the reaction of the opposition completly against them .
Its just one answer for a situation .
