Floyd Mayweather Jr stopped hitting Baldomir who honestly isn't that hard to hit and considering his slow handspeed why wouldn't Floyd just pop him with a shoe shine combination and bait him into throwing so he could show off his defense?

Floyd didn't want to even CHANCE getting hit that's why. Floyd is a GREAT fighter don't get me wrong but he just doesn't show how great he is by simply moving around so much....it's like a Matador, people don't like it when the Matador moves around a bunch, they cheer when he stands his ground and still doesn't get hit....and that's what I like in a defensive fighter...a guy who can stay in range and move and counter....Floyd doesn't do it as much as he could.
