Default Who else is stoked for Wright-Hopkins?

I always thought this would be a good fight because Winky brings the fight to all his opponents, and I was reading one of the ring magazines, and they agree with me. Winky will either dominate Hopkins or force him to fight like he hasn't in more than 7 years. I absolutely think that Bernard has to look like he hasn't in a long time in order to beat Winky.

Anyone who is a real purist boxing fan would have to love this fight. Two great technicians who are both usually in terrific shape for their fights and are both going to be hall of fame guys. I am interested to see how winky does moving up in weight, and also wanna see how Hopkins fights another boxer arguably as smart as himself. Its a pick em for me.
Is this the fight Hopkins finally gets old or will he win and consolidate his already awesome legacy, and if Floyd really is retired will a win in this fight finally put Winky P4P number 1.
    So many questions!

I can't wait to see this fight. Winky is one of my favorite fighters but I think Hopkins is going to be a huge challenge for him. B-Hop is bigger, better adjusted to the weight, and one crafty bastard. I hope Winky wins, but whoever wins is going to have to really earn it. Both are quick-thinking strategists which is one of the things that make this fight so compelling. Either way I'd bet it will be a close or contested decision at the end of it all, unless Hopkins has enough power to hurt or drop Winky.

This is going to be a top fight and im not sure on the outcome but i lean towards Hopkins as he is naturally bigger.
Winky must be the most understated boxer of all time he has been a fantastic fighter for many years, as has Bernard , so yes im looking forward to it big style

honestly i see this fight panning out like so:

winky will be more active in the earlier rounds, keeping busy, throwing more, landing more etc etc

in these early rounds B-Hop will go from being confused to frustrated/flustered.

like almost every B-Hop fight minus his last performance against Tarver(which was not B-Hop's normal style/manner) B-Hop often doesnt do shiiiiit for the first several rounds as many see this as his way of systematically breaking down/figuring out his opponents. B-Hop often turns it up full throttle for the last 3-4 rounds to close the show as he usually does, but i think Winky will have that much a lead on the score cards by then.

so i see Winky winning by UD

i see B-Hop fighting real dirty in this one the more he gets confused/frustrated with Winky. Probably a few point deductions for head butts and Executioning of the BALLS lol

bhop will win giving winky his fourth loss to join

    RJJ - 50-4
    bhop - 47 -4
    shane - 44 -4
    and winky 51 - 4

don't know why i used this to decide the winner, but probably because its too hard to pick...don't really care who wins so long as it's good...

It all depend on the way Wright approaches thge fight. If he goes for B-Hop from the off, Hopkins will counter his way to a UD but If Winky tyries to cover up and flick that viscious jab of his all night Hopkins may have to come out of his shell and ataack. the closer we get to the fight I lean towards Hopkins. I wouldn't mind seeing a more aggresive Hopkins and I think thats a real possibility. The only thingi know for certain is I cant wait for this

Bernard's only weakness is a jab to the face, I remember Oscar landing them. And Winky's jab is like a metal pole.

I'm interested in the outcome and the fight. I know there won't be fireworks. Probably will be boring, but I want to see how Winky will do against the best, Hopkins, who makes every fighter look stupid. Winky rarely looks stupid in the ring. ... Winky should be the aggressor. Just his consistent offense will make it worth watching. Could end in a controversial decision with Winky's multiple jabs and Hopkins clean right hands. Wright is always in a snoozer, but Hopkins will make it boring. If that makes any sense.

Bhop is taking p4p supremacy once again

Frankly if he beats winky and floyd stays retired theres no reason why he wouldnt be p4p number one

The way i see it, utilising their currrent styles, Winky has the capability of scoring against Bernard, whereas Bernard will find it more difficult to score against Winky.
This would suggest that B-Hop would be forced to implement a more aggresive active approach to the fight expending more energy and taking more risks.
This opens up the possibility for Hopkins searching for a ko victory or evn the possibility that Hopkins will be unable to sustain a pace which Wright cannot manage.
This is a fight where i believe it CANNOT be close, there will be one decisive winner. The weight/expierince factors make me lean toward Hopkins because of his guile and maturity. The Age/style factors have me leaning toward Winky because of that jousting pole of a jab.

How do you counter Winky exactly? Especially if your slower than him? Winky gets his jab out so fast and then back up as his guard so quickly afterwards that there is almost no opening. Winky has come forward Vargas-present. A lot of people thought Trinidad would be able to box with Winky, a lot of people thought Mosley would outboxed WInky, but he easily outboxed both, and Trinidad as easily as Bernard did. I think size won't be a problem for Winky because he is thicker than Hopkins, and during his fight with Trinidad, RJJ said that Winky was always within one pound of him naturally.

I think the only way Hopkins can win is if he can utilize the rough prison boy tactics. If he wins another way all the kudos to him.
