Punisher why do you think your car heats up in the sun especially if it's black? Why do you think plants can make carbohydrate by photosynthesis only when the sun is shining and they close their stomata and stop photosynthesis at night? co2 doesn't emit heat. A box of co2 is the same temperature as a box of oxygen. There's a different cause to global warming and its not man made. Ever think maybe that huge highly unstable ball of fire that makes life down here possible might be acting up?

OK here's a news flash for you (i know i'm simple so this probably won't make any sense), A gas cannot trap in heat. Saying that its holding in the heat energy from the sun implies that it must also be capable of blocking it from coming into the earths atmosphere in the first place. Heat/light can't go thru something and then when its reflected back up to it suddenly go "i know i just passed thru that but now i can't" Thats utter left wing unscientifically proven bullshit nonsense.

Things absorb heat regardless of their physical state. Again how do you think hot air balloons work! it's because you heat the air and hot air rises! Besides since you accept that solids can absorb heat from the sun there's your answer anyway - heat energy is lost from sunlight in our atmosphere in a million different ways. if it wasn't we wouldn't be here!

Also if your theory is correct Punisher and global warming is due to the sun radiating more than it did before then we'd have to be even more careful of what we do since it's going to make an inevitable situation harder for us!

When there's a drought in Australia we have water restrictions to help make what we have last until we get enough rain again - we don't all go getting swimming pools in our back yards just because we figure we're screwed anyway!

Of course there will always be drought etc - it's just in our own best interests to do what we can to make it easy on ourselves whenever possible.

I don't live in LA; I don't even drive a car. I'm not doing shit to this plant so get off me. You have one of 2 choices for your life: 1 Live in an industrialized country where food and jobs are plentiful and your kids have the oppurtunity to die several social classes higher than what they were born in (technology comes with mistakes which have been fixed by making car and factory emissions subject to very strict standards.) or 2. You can live in an "uncivilized" country where disease runs rampant and food is no where to be found (On the upside no one will ever make technology to try and make your life easier so the environment won't be hurt while you die from an ebola virus which i can assure you is 100x worse than cancer).

Mistakes were made and they are being fixed but you need to realize that nothing in the world comes without consequence (there's no free meals in nature). If something makes everyone's lives easier, its gonna come with a catch. I'm not saying we're not responsible for our own actions, but you have to realize there's a downside to anything that has upside. You can make the cleanest car in the world that has 150 mpg and runs on water but you're gonna need a road to drive it on. To get that road, you're gonna have to disrupt a natural habitat, thats just the way it works. We're doing the best we can to make sure we (the weakest and least self sufficeint of all animals) can co exist with our environment, its not always gonna work tho.

I'm not against changing over, i'm all for nuclear power which is way more effceint than coal/oil/fossil fuels. I don't own an oil company, so i have no interest in its continuation as a power supply.

It was about the people trying to push their political agendas with global warming (the left wanting to make rules for how everyone should live despite them being called liberals and the right which is mostly big oil companies not wanting to change so they'd keep making money). The people in the middle (us) realize that there's things going on and they need to be dealt with. We don't have a voice in this country despite the fact that 80% of the country is composed of moderates working in the middle class. I'm not against the idea of global warming, i'm against the people using it to benefit their own agendas.
