Of course there will always be drought etc - it's just in our own best interests to do what we can to make it easy on ourselves whenever possible.

Honestly where I am I hear nothing of Sheryl Crow. You can dislike her all you want and it doesn't bother me.

I'm glad you admit we can't just go and do whatever we want.

I don't think Sheryl Crow should enter your mind when you think about whether or not environmental issues exist. She's just another person and deciding to go against the principle of being environmentally friendly just because she's hipocrit or greenies annoy you is a waste.

If you're willing to not let personal issues cloud your judgment and apply yourself you're just as capable as anyone else of shaping our future for the better.

What makes you so sure there's only one culprit to any environmental problem? usually a whole heap of things interact to add up to environmental damage.

Again - we ARE going to run out of oil and it IS getting more and more expensive so why are you so against reducing the amount we use and changing over to something else?!?
I'm not against changing over, i'm all for nuclear power which is way more effceint than coal/oil/fossil fuels. I don't own an oil company, so i have no interest in its continuation as a power supply.
