imo hatton and cotto beat the same guys that gave mayweather trouble wit ease,now they werent the same as when mayweather fought them but i think maywaether has 2 fight dem now, forget mosely, fihgt the guys that are still young, i think mayweather would beat both but DAMMIT I WANT TO SEE IT, and it would be more exciting than mayweather-delahoya cuz both hatton and cotto press the action, wat u guys think?

Callazo gave Hatton all kinds of problems, PBF fights like him but much better................

Collazo is southpaw plus that was Hattons first time at that weight and hadn't properly adjusted to that weight well if your bringing styles into play how about Castillo vs Mayweather Castillo cuts easy yet he was able to give Mayweather two tough fights.

Regardless of the outcome of the fight,you miss my point JT. A Floyd fight with Hatton,Cotto etc is exciting. It's against a young,hungry,guy who is not inactive,not coming off a loss and not old. Yet he calls out Oscar?? The part time boxer he just beat? WTF?

I would challenge anyone to argue that either of those fighters were ever on the same level of Delahoya and even the one that fought on May 5th and I also challenge anyone to argue either of those 2 fighters had/have more in the tank than Delahoya when those matches took place...

And JLC and Judah are Floyd's 2 best names on his resume and Hatton and Cotto looked far more impressive against them. And they are more active than Oscar

Why not address all my other points? Are Cotto Hatton,Mosley not worthy? Would they not cement his legacy further? Are they not more dangerous than Oscar?

Yeah and the people they beat are nothing close to mayweather's style or mindset.

If you really want to see a massacre then you can put Hatton in the ring with Floyd. If you want to see Cotto outboxed put him in there with Floyd.

Emanuel Stewart pointed out how open Cotto is for straight shots and Floyd wouldn't lapse and would throw them.

One thing that seperates Judah from Floyd is that Judah has a tendency to stand still when in close trying to search for one shot which allowed Cotto to go off on him in those instances unless Zab made him miss.

Mayweather on the other hand is rarely caught on the inside, it would be a distance fight. A boring one for the fans but Floyd would walk away with a decision.

And besides that Floyd is retired and Hatton isnt going to 147 again.

For some reason, I was having a lot of troubles with my connection to the page. I completely agree, Cotto should not consider, and I don't think he will, go back to 140. A Cotto - Hatton fight should be very physical, and in this field I think Cotto has the advantage, specially at 147. I'm more interested on Cotto-Mayweather, but any of the combinations will be very interesting.

Who else should he fight next? all the other players at 147 are tied up. Mosely OK, I would love to see it. But Mosely's last press release he said he was leaning toward retirement. And obviously Delahoya brings more $ and a convincing win would shut all the naysayers up, who said Delahoya won.

Again why cant Floyd posture and be a pain in the azz to negoiate with? All superstar fighters do it, whether they are flamboyant about it or not.

Ok So Cotto just picked what Mayweather left on Judahs Carcass. Please dude, PLEASE. Most, recognized that Judah was getting busted up real bad down the stretch and ready to go at the end of the 10th and thats why he lowblowed and hit in the back of the head.  Judah was getting broken to the body and both eyes were swollen and he was bleeding from mouth and nose, meanwhile Floyd didnt even have a scratch on him as usual  

Also Gamo, dont even try to pass off the 6/22/07 version of Jose Luis Castillo that was war torn,  weight drained more that Nicole Richie, and inactive that Hatton just beat to the one that Floyd fought on 4/20/02 and again in 12/7/02 you know it, there is no comparison!

A little premature to Jump on Floyds azz about who he is calling out, I mean like I stated above all the other signifigant people at 147 are or had commitments after he beat Delahoya on May 5th. and Floyd has been saying since November that the fight with Delahoya would be his retirement fight, but he would fight Delahoya again in a rematch or stay retired..... I mean you are gonna elevate Cotto to some grandiose status when in fact he has only fought 1 legitimate up and coming young gun with promise (Quintana) in his whole career so Cotto is far from the world beater the hype suggest he is, I mean come on, Floyd whips Judahs azz and Judah is some faded bum and a has been, but Cotto beats him and all of a sudden Cotto is the heir apparent. again save the hypocrisy.

As I've said before, I think it's too early to criticize Floyd for not having agreed on a new fight. Even if he never mentioned anything about retirement, he still wouldn't be fighting again until November or December. Also, it's worth his while to wait until after July 14th before doing anything.

Judah-Cotto, Hatton-Castillo, and Margarito-Williams are all very important fights that all have a big impact on the landscape of 147. Mayweather is sitting back waiting to see how these fights all play out.

If we get to November/December and there's still no sign of Floyd, then call him retired or criticize him all you want for not fighting one of the big names at 147. But having this discussion in June seems really premature to me. It's basically people complaining who are looking for a reason to complain about Floyd.
