exactly....that was the point i was making to you saying "often will is greater than skill"...when you say that is seems as if you dismiss the obviously more skillfull/athlectic fighters as not having "will"

Not at all, i'm stating that for a fighter to work at the optimum level he/she needs not only natural athletic ability but also mental strength and fortitude which cannot be taught.
And in saying that a fighter of incredible will and mental strength will be beaten by a naturally better fighter with similar mental strength. If that makes sense, and in a way i'm questioning PBF's mental strength.

he's basically the smartest fighter in the world...its funny that most call Miquel a robot because of his systematically breaking opponent down...but floyd is the real robot and all his years in gym plus roger's years in the gym and his fathers and uncle's all these experiences have been programmed into floyd's head and all he knows is boxing...he knows all the

"how to" "the don't do" "the if they do this you should do this" "the roy jones make up shit"
"the crowd fools the judges so i should step it up"

all of the little things that make him complete. He has these for himself and plus the outside perspective as roger is as perseptive as the best trainers, and he will tell Floyd what's going on and Floyd will do exactly what he's told like a robot for he believes in his corner... as far as mentally tough goes he's never had to deal with mental pressure inside of the ring because he has always been better prepared for his opponent than his opponent for him...a lesson he learned from the first castillo fight..every since then he has always prepared for the fighter he's fighting style and will execute like no other..and Ricky will be stopped in round 9,10, or 11....

Yo perhaps ur right, infact mayb im being totally biased and my judgement is clouded, but for me Hatton has a very good oppurtunity should this fight come off.
I takee all ur points and somewhat agree with most of them, but part of the beauty of boxing is it's unpredictability. You cannot prepare for something you cannot prdict...
    For instance what happens if:
    Mayweather breaks his Hand....
Ricky gets cut early and goes all out....
    Floyds shoulder damages early....
If Ricky manages to keep on the inside all night....
Anything can happen in boxing, and to be honest i feel a Ricky Hatton win against Floyd Mayweather would not be the most shocking thing i have ever seen.....

It would be second because I think floyd is great an ATG at that...but it won't and nothing will ever top the way I felt or looked when I saw the arrow take out Achilles...

and i'm talking about Tarver's punch on Roy Jones....

I swear, if he beats Hatton, i will worship Mayweather but until that happens there's doubts in my mind.
