noticed it before for november and it says that if its at 154 and 147 both floyds belts will be on the line. but if its at 140 no belts will be on the line.
This is getting intresting but im starting to get excited!

140 doesn't make any sense. 147 is probably the best bet for this fight and if floyd wins this, maybe theres a wright-mayweather fight in the future for 154.
I posted a topic yesterday saying it was tentatively announced for November 12th. It's on the UK forum if you can't find it in the main, but nothing is signed, so I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet.Originally Posted by Tam Seddon

Not sure about them being at the top of their game. Ricky is, but Floyd has been retired for a long time nowOriginally Posted by PRIDE OF BOSTON
...well, longer than most of us thought he would be!

yer it should be a thrilller. I think Ricky should try his best to get the fight at 140 due to the fact that he would be his strongest there and floyd wouldnt be! well i think that anyway, 147 without a warm up fight is risky for hatton
Hatton has been calling out floyd tho. You can't call somebody out and tell them to fight at your weight.![]()
i know but im saying IF ricky wants the advantage! if you get my drift?Originally Posted by Punisher136
If he wants the advantage he'll have it at 140 i get what you're saying but i'm saying asking for it at 140 when the guy you're calling out has belts at 147 and 154 is just abit off to me.Originally Posted by Tam Seddon
but if floyd is this magical man who can beat everyone, why doesnt he go down the weight and take out his biggest threat at the weight he fights at best, therefore showing that floyd is an even better fighter!?Originally Posted by Punisher136
I think Floyd is cocky enough to give him the advantage... What a fight THAT would be!Originally Posted by Tam Seddon

Since you worded it that way, 140 makes sense to me now. Floyd doesn't really have anything to prove tho. He's knocked off several great (not necessarily ATG) fighters at their respective weights already. Hatton winning at a higher weight would get him more credit. Setting it up to make it look like floyd is making the move for the tougher fight as opposed to hatton making the move for a tougher fight just isn't in hatton's best interest i would think.Originally Posted by Tam Seddon
well i think if hatton wants to win it and we want to see the best fight i truely think 140 is the best weight for it! i just think 147 would favour floyd tooo much, he already has the advantages!Originally Posted by Punisher136
The thing is, a lot of people are already slapping hatton with an "overrated" sticker. The only way he can shake that is fighting floyd at a higher weight. Him beating floyd at 140, while impressive, will still get him a bunch of crap from people.
