Still, Barrera has pulled the rabbit out of the hat many times before so I'm still going to be cautiously optimistic about this from the Barrera standpoint.
I will politely disagree, Amat!

Barrera isnt stupid. He doesnt want to get beaten up as a final fare well! He believes he can win. I believe so too...Pac has fooled many by the early stoppage of Morales..

That was not the Moralesthat most know...
Exactly. Marco is one of the smartest fighters in the business. If he felt he was going to embarrass himself or didn't feel like he had anything left...he would not take this fight. Sure...he has pride....but he doesn't go overboard with it like Morales. All of this isn't to say i don't take Pac can win....but a focused and prepared Marco will give him a hell of a fight. This also makes the most sense for Manny on a $$$ and promotional standpoint...Barrera is the biggest name he could have fought...with Marquez (who already had signed to fight Barrios) coming second. A lot of people will be doubting Marco in this one....but he is one of those fighters i never discount. ALSO....i think talks of him being on the "slide" are greatly exaggerated. Sure...he is no young buck...but he still looked razor sharp in the Marquez fight...and even when he was badly hurt...he was able to land knockdown punch on Marquez. I for one...am excited about this fight.
