Robbed against Maywather and the Corrales fight alone should get him in!!
That fight with Corrales was great but Castillo is not a great fighter or Hall of Fame in my mind. They should give the fight with Corrales the honor of being a hall of fame fight. Maybe make a category for fights being in the hall of fame like fighters are. But as a fighter how can you say Castillo is great? Beating Casamayor is good but not warranted of great or hall of fame. Bazan was not great. Castillo's best wins are over an over the hill Stevie Johnston and the second Corrales fight when he had an advantage. As great as the Corrales fight was, it was Corrales who was knocked down and at the brink and came back and knocked out Castillo.

I agree completely. To my mind Coralles made the first fight great not the other way around. He basically took a beating for 10 rounds then came back from two knockdowns to stop Castillo and epitomized the true warrior spirit in the process.

All Castillo did was let a sure fire win slip away............

Its not even that much of a question to me. He's clearly a hall of famer. Look at some of the people in already, Castillo's got at the least just as good a career as McGuigan, or Ray Mancini for example. Actually he has a clearly better resume than those two IMO.

You cannot say a guy is in the Hall because you think the guys in there are worse than him. Mancini beat Frias,Ramirez,Chacon,Kim, and gave good fights to Arguello and Camacho.. Castillo did well but really had the great fight with Corrales. If not for the first Corrales fight would you even be thinking he was a hall of famer or considering it? Just on his accomplishments I do not think he warrants getting in. On that fight with Corrales he will get in. Boxing needs fights like that and to not recognize him is something the Hall of fame (either of them) will not do.
