OK I will give it a try.
Lennox Lewis- We were lucky enough to have not only a fighter who dominated but also a fighter who represented boxing well. The heavyweight champion was the face of boxing through out history. Lennox was a gentleman. Well spoken and we watched him grow as a fighter. By time he retired he dominated the heavyweight division like any past great. Avenged his losses. Then went out on a win. True warrior with Class.
Evander Holyfield- His fights were almost always exciting. He always gave it his all like a true champion should. Has one of boxing's best trilogies against Bowe. Managed to go from cruiserweight to being an undersized heavyweight. Beat Tyson twice. His only downfall is not knowing when to walk away
Riddick Bowe-Riddick took on a big challenge. He became the face of heavyweight boxing after Mike Tyson took a powder to the state ranch. He was our champion and we were proud. His fights with Evander are legendary. Sad part is he put a black eye on himself refusing to fight Lennox Lewis. Who at that time I feel he could have beat. He would have no chance against the 2004 and up version of Lewis but the 1993 version of Bowe was about as good as one can get
Mike Tyson=When 1987 came around Mike Tyson has seen his best days come and go. This is a man who could have been in the top 3 of all time not just the last 20 years. He managed to have his career extended a long time by reputation alone. The 1985-1986 version of Tyson was pure dominance. He did manage another title though after his time in prison. Mikes aura will always keep him in a top heavyweight list.
Vitaly Klitschko-Vitaly was just coming into his own as the top man in the division when he was forced to retire. In my opinion he would still be champion. He had it all. Good power. His offense was improving. He had lost that robotic style. His chin is unbelivable. He had things cut short but there is no doubt everything was there and he would have been champion until he felt like giving the title up.
6.Chris Byrd-Size was Chris only downfall. He had heart and skill
7.Wladamir Klitschko-Many set backs but the best is yet to come
8.Michael Moorer-Great skill and only southpaw to hold the belt
9.John Ruiz-Boring I know but he got the job done
10-Ray Mercer-Tough as nails, Great finisher. Better then the other choices. Morrison, Rahman, Golota. Gave everyone he lost to during his heyday fits
