Man, its amazing how people can forget what actually happened to this kid. He was from the ghetto, rough lifestyle, got into boxing, and it was his release. Cus did a great job controlling the kid, and for the first time in his life he had a father figure that gave a shit. He molded that kid, took him into his own home, and treated him like a son. C uz was involve with Tyson, he truly treated him like he was his own authentic offspring. He made the kid into what he WAS, he took that RAW machine like power and directed it into a devastating style of fighting. Right when Tyson was breaking out, right when Tyson needed CUS the most, he wasn’t there, cus died and whom did Tyson have to go to? He just became the youngest champ, MONEY, WOMEN, POLITICS, were to follow. No one around him cared enough to watch out for him. I can honestly say, if Cus was around it would have been different, he would of guided Tyson.

I know this will sound cliché, but look at the movie rocky, Mickey was with rocky and rocky was from a rough neighborhood no family, but he turned out alright. Then you got Tommy gun who had the same background was being lead around by Duke. There was no one to guide him. Obviously its just a movie but it’s a prime example of when someone has guidance they have a better shot of picking right from wrong.

To this day, when someone sees a young strong prospect in the HWD they say “next Tyson!” OR he hit like Tyson. But the fact of the matter is, there will never be another tyson. That ferociousness was not just from his muscle, but the life he lived before boxing came into his life, he channeled those demons into every punch. But, when he lost his way, those demons left his punches and engulfed his head.
