It's a pretty convincing case tbh.
What people are forgetting is that you do not have to be the most technically gifted fighter to get the number one spot. You just have to be able to beat everybody in your weight class and for that weight class to be regarded as full of brilliance.

also, Hatton would be fighting above his naturally best weight, which gives him an even bigger shout for the number one spot if he wins.
So Hatton's weight class is "full of brilliance"(140) he has yet to fight some of the better WW at 147. And he would be fighting one weight class above his natural weight. Manny Pacquiao started about 3-4 divisions below where he is now,Floyd 5 weights etc etc.

I just don't believe wins over Mayweather,JLC and Tszyu would make him pound for pound number one.

JT has beaten B Hop twice when he was P4P number 1 and drawn with Winky.

Bernard has 20 plus title defences and beat Tarver and may beat Winky.

Winky beat Tito,Shane twice.

Rafa Marquez has beaten more RING top 10 than all of them and is a multiple weight champ.

All these names mentioned would still be just as impressive if not more so than Hatton IF he were to beat Floyd.
