Bravo!!!Arum is doing the right thing in several ways. He knows who the best welterweights are and also knows that real boxing fans have been clamoring for this fight for many months. He's also not taking any crap from the IBF or Don King with their rematch garbage. I've seen it all before. Anyone remember the rematch baloney that Don King pulled with Terry Norris and his fights in 1994 and 1995 with Luis Santana? Trying to force fighters into rematches is clearly King's way of trying to exercise dictatorial control over the sport.
Anyway, a Margarito-Mayweather fight makes sense. There's a tidal wave of interest developing for this fight. It's a big gamble for Arum in 1 sense though. If the fight is a flop he can lose money and he knows it.
