I'm effin pissed man. Roddick just got beat. I can't believe he blew a 2 set lead then gets beat. Geez. He was really playing good tennis to. Sucks. I guess Federer is going to take it again.

I know that chubby French bird, amazed me so pretty good shit, maybe she will celebrtae with a trip to her favourite restaurant KFC.

On another note, Gasquet just woke up and thought i better start playing some ball, i think Roddick played some of his best tennis in a while and still got beat, i think the new generation, Nadal, Djokovic,Gasquet, Murray etc are beginning to take over from Roddick. Federer will walk it once again.

Federer v Nadal final, i'l be supriesed if Nadal gets a set to be honest, and Venus wins the Womens.

Poor Djokiovic would of made a game off it if head more time to rest.

So Youzhny was beating Nadals ass before getting injured and so was a half injured Djokovic before he was fully injured? I really hope that Fed beats his ass bad. As for Venus,I give her credit, she played well BUT I still don't like her. She should be disqualified for those noises she makes, sounds like a crow getting strangled and ruins the opponents concentration. Heck, even MCnroe mentioned it!

I watched parts of it. Federer and Nadal again.. Who saw that coming? . I think federer deserves to get more credit than tiger woods when it comes to sports dominance. Federer even has a nearly as impressive rival he has to face.

I still can't believe it either. I watched the guy who beat roddick yesterday play federer today and I think Andy would have put up a better fight if not won today. I watched the post game interview yesterday and he said it was his toughest loss of his career, because he worked so hard this year for it.

Always bet on Federer. If he loses Nadal.
Unless it is Clay, then reverse it.

I'm not just a boxing fan. I'm a sports fan and for the reputation of men's tennis, it was necessary that this was a comfortable straight sets beat down by Red.

Red made it clear to Novak that he's not winning any more majors. He made Djokovic look useless and old. This is what a top tennis player should do to a man closing in on 40. Red is simply a wrecking machine against anybody not named Carlos. He's just a world No.1 doing world No.1 things. He's now won the last 5 contests against Novak and is 15-2 in sets. Bottom line ? Red absolutely owns Novak.

    I've gotta say another thing.

Novak has won more slams than any other male tennis player, but Fed is better. Novak has won more slams in his thirties than his twenties, and that's very telling. In his 30s the best competition was Berrettini, Kyrgios, Tsitsipas, Ruud, Z and Med. In his 20's he was up against Roger, Rafa and Murray.

    Big difference.

At Sinner's and Carlos's age Novak was like what Taylor Fritz is like now, ya know ? Very good player, but not seen as the elite. The reason why I put Fed ahead of Novak is because Novak played almost his entire career without having to face a younger ATG. By comparison, Federer faced two - two of the greatest ever. Federer's 2017 - 2019 results look even more remarkable now by comparison.

Good to see a post about tennis.

That being said, I'll be rooting for Sinner against Alcaraz. Let's hope Sinner doesn't shrink away from the moment. Some seem to think Alcaraz is in Sinner's head. Let him show some of the dominance he showed against Novak.

So soon after the big 3 era comes to an end we now have two players once again way ahead of the field. Djokovic still good enough to get to semis but there’s a massive difference now between that and being in the final and then winning.

Agree Denilson I still have Fed as the goat if they all met in their absolute prime.
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
